Speed test: S1000RR v RSV4 v Hayabusa v ZZ-R1400
20 years after the launch of the original hyperbike, Kawasaki's ZZ-R1100,
superbikes like BMW's S1000RR are now so fast they're rendering the
Hayabusa and co. irrelevant... Or are they? Read the full test in this
week's MCN, on sale Wednesday 19 May 2010.
hayabusa evolution III
This is a video I threw together about my 2000 suzuki hayabusa. The pics
show it when I bought it (white with stickers), and its current state. It
has ported head, big cams, 6 in stretch, 2 inch lowered, geared, and all
the bolt-on mods.
Eventhough its setup for drag racing, I ocassionally take it in the curvy
stuff. You'll see after the dirtbike that's in front of me moves, I begin
to have a little fun. I was taking it real easy, because it was cold, and I
only run 20psi in my rear tire (drag setup)...the bike makes alot of
torque, and spins at will in the lower gears. I always ride one or two
gears higher than I need to in the twisty's because of this...it has enough
torque to pull fairly hard off a corner ;-)
I was also testing the gopro camera out for the first time too...drag
videos of it and my n2o zx10r soon to come...enjoy...

Last race in video is actually the first race, edited to look like the last
race. All runs were at the same Boost level for the Supra. Supra has no horn
so GSXR was waiting for it, Supra went for it, got off and back in it and
All races from ~50mph. 1st gear for bike, 2nd for Supra to about 160mph
Bike has gone 10.15@140and Supra 11.000@134 on same setup as video
Elevation is at 5200', so NA bike loses alot of power up here
