Hummer H3 BFG 285/75-15 to 315/75-16 upgrade
Time for some new rubber. BFG 315/75-16 mounted on the stock H3 wheels.
Mounted using tire irons and balanced with balancing beads. Took a little
work, if anyone interested of doing it for the first time, free advice ,
use a lot of dish soap for mounting a new tire.

mounting a set of Super Swamper IROK 36x13.50R17 onto a set of Hutchinson
Rock Monster 17x8.5 beadlock wheels.
These are one of the few "true" double-side beadlock wheels which are DOT
approved for highway use.
I personally use them and have ran tire pressure down to practically 0PSI
on some of my snow runs. Wheels perform great, definitely suggest if you
can pull the $400/ea. price tag.

Hummer H2, H3 & H3T vs Jeep JK at Beasley Knob
3 Hummers (H2, H3, & H3T) and a Jeep JK hit 93C at Beasley Knob. At the
first big hill climb 5:00, the H3s both spun their tires until winching and
towing themselves out. There was a stock Nissan Pathfinder that made a
valiant effort, and made it just as far as the H3s before getting winched.
The H2 made it through, but I wasn't there to see it - had to leave the
park for a bit to get the wife. I filmed myself going up the same section,
and the jeep did not spin a tire at all. You can jump to 11:47 to see the
JK hit it.
IMO the H3s failed due to a lack of articulation - no flex whatsoever in
the front. One had lockers, the other only limited slip, but it didn't
make much of a difference.

Hummer Extreme Off Road | Amazing Hummer Video
This amazing Hummer Extreme Off Road Video shows the true capabilities and
history of the Hummer. Rock Climbing, Mudding, Water Crossing and "Hummer
Snow Challenge" and much more.
Born from a military background, it's not surprising to discover that
go-anywhere attitude backing up the Hummer brand. This mindset was best
exemplified by the late Hummer H1
Realizing that not everyone would want the civilian equivalent of a Humvee,
the company added the Hummer H2, available as an SUV and as a pickup dubbed
the H2 SUT (sport utility truck). Still plenty capable, the H2 shares its
platform with the Chevrolet Silverado, whereas the most recent product to
debut, the Hummer H3 and H3T (the pickup truck version), is based on the
Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon.
Hummer was created as a civilian version of the Humvee (HMMWV, High
Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle), a military vehicle developed by AM
General during the 1980s. The first model, simply called the Hummer, was
launched by AM General in 1992, seven years before General Motors took
ownership of the company. After that change, the Hummer was renamed the
Hummer H1 and GM worked on expanding the brand's line up and broadening
exposure to the mainstream market.
The results of those efforts could be seen in the Hummer H2, a rugged
off-road SUV that offered attitude and sheer mass not found in many
competing vehicles. A pickup version of that utility vehicle, dubbed the
Hummer H2 SUT, followed. By 2006, the Hummer H1 had reached the end of its
line, but the resulting void made room for the Chevy Colorado-based Hummer
H3, available with a five-cylinder engine in standard guise or as the
V8-powered Hummer H3 Alpha. A pickup version, the Hummer H3T, is also
available, as is the more luxurious Hummer H3x.

****DETAILED REVIEW**** 2008 HUMMER H3 BIRCH WHITE LUXURY 4X4 WALK AROUND & TEST DRIVE
Without a doubt the HUMMER H3 is a vehicle in it's own class of luxury,
off/on-road capabilities, and straight up awesome looks. In many of today's
vehicles one would have to sacrifice in order to achieve a high level in
one of the above mentioned categories but the HUMMER H3 does it all.
The HUMMER H3 was easily able to climb steep hills and descend through very
rough and rocky terrain with extreme confidense. On the other hand the
HUMMER H3 is a very smooth and luxurious vehicle to drive in the city. The
jaw dropping off-road capabilities of this HUMMER H3 translated into city
driving makes use of its small turn radius to easily park in any parking
Review of Off-Road Capabilities:
This HUMMER H3 handled the off-road challenge with extreme ease. This year,
I came to a decision where I had to chose to shoot a 5-point mule deer on
the back side of the mountain or let it go... Knowing that I had off-road
capabilities of the HUMMER H3 to back me up, I took the shot and managed to
get myself an awesome trophy buck. Thus, speaking from personal experience,
the HUMMER H3 climbed through brush, mud, boulders with very little effort
and brought my trophy buck home.
City Driving Review:
The HUMMER H3 was surprisingly smooth on the streets. With it's heated
leather seats, thick steering wheel, among with many other luxurious
options make this HUMMER H3 very comfortable. Although visibility was not
the best, it was not as much of an issue that I had thought it would be.
One 'cool' feature that this HUMMER H3 has is the automatic dimmer rear
view mirror so you will never forget to dim your mirror again.
Additionally, the exterior lights turn on automatically as well.
In the end, the HUMMER H3 is an all around vehicle that can impress 'the
guys' with it's extreme off-roading capabilities to impressing grandma with
it's smooth ride.
FJ Cruiser, Sequoia, and Hummer H3 Off-Road on Rattlesnake Trail
After school had finished this year, on my second to last day in Utah
before moving back to Colorado, I decided to go hit up Rattlesnake out at 5
Mile Pass one last time and I was able to get the new president of the UVU
Off-Road Adventure Club to come (Spencer in his Hummer H3) and then my
uncle decided to come a well (Adam in the Sequoia). We had a pretty good
time but it became obvious that having a locker makes life a ton easier. We
thought the Sequoia had one but real quick we realized on Rattlesnake that
this was not the case, so in a lot of situations, as you'll see, he had to
bump it or just gas it. And I think for the Sequoia, having that V8 on the
trail was a big help for getting it through.
Sorry there is no music in this video but there will be music in some of my
