Extreme Elco Engine Swap! - Roadkill Episode 4
On this episode of Roadkill, David Freiburger, Mike Finnegan and a carsick
dog drive a '69 El Camino 500 miles from home (on seven cylinders) to
change an engine in the parking lot of Summit Racing.
The story goes that Finnegan's wife's grandfather bought this1969 Chevy El
Camino brand new, and it's been passed down through the family, finally to
her. It's a solid car, and the suspension has been hopped up, but the
all-original 350 engine was smoking like a freight train. That didn't stop
the guys from limping it from Los Angeles, California to Sparks, Nevada,
where Summit Racing has a fully-stocked warehouse.
Summit sells every speed part and replacement part on Earth, including the
420hp, 383ci crate engine, so the logic was that the guys would save time
on the engine swap because they could walk right into the store instead of
driving to a parts store multiple times, as they would have back home.
So how long will it take a couple gearheads to change an engine outside in
a snow flurry? Will the EPA shut them down before they can finish? And what
happens when you let a carsick dog ride shotgun? Watch to find out!

El Camino Man
Video I made for a buddy of mine who's into El Caminos. I still can't
believe I found a song like this.
Camaro vs El Camino
Mistype= I meant to put 305 instead of 302.
A $800 Camaro vs a
$1200 El Camino.
Four short races. The first race isn't very good.
The Camaro has a 305
not a 302 thats my bad lol, and the El Camino has a GM 350 crate motor.
The El Camino looses to the Camaro because it doesn't have
posi trac, so it spins out of the hole, and the transmission in it sucks a
big old dick.
Neither of these cars are mine, so i was impartial when i made the video.
Please check back in the spring of 08. I'm dropping a GTO motor with 400hp
into my 1968 LaMans, and I plan on beating some rice burner ass.
Also, the first song is "Raise Hell" by Hed PE, and the second song is
"Flirtin' with Disaster" by Molly Hatchet.
Pro Touring 1966 El Camino Autocross Suspension Cam V8TV
http://www.v8tvshow.com - Herbert Lumpp's clean 1966 Chevrolet El Camino is
set up with a well thought-out selection of suspension pieces and
drivetrain parts to make it a competent road-course and street machine.
Powered by a big block Chevy engine, it's backed by a 5-speed manual TKO
600 trans spinning a Currie rear axle and rides on a complete Global West
suspension system. We shot the car going around the cones and down the
drag strip at the recent Run Through The Hills IV event in Pigeon Forge,
TN. Check out the suspension camera!

Track Daze at Summit Point, 11-12 July 2011
I took the El Camino to a Track Daze driving school at Summit Point
Motorsports Park. The El Camino performed great, impressed the instructor
and took the two day beating in stride!
