My 72 Vette on Dyno.MOV
This is me with my 1972 Vette on the Dyno. The car has a GM ZZ454 crate engine with a F.A.S.T. EZ-EFI system, Hooker Super Comp side pipe headers with the restrictive Hooker inserts, a TREMEC TKO600 5-speed transmission, and a Ramadei Super 10-bolt rear differential with a 3.73 gear. I just came off the 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour, where I got 19 miles per gallon over a 2,700 mile trip which included a lot of drag racing, hot rodding, and stop-n-go traffic. in this pull, the car did 320 HP at the rear wheels. The ambient temp was 113 degrees. My AFR was pretty good at idle, but way too lean on the top end. I will bring her back when I get my MSD programmable box, my new wires, and the STS inserts in the side pipes. We will start in the evening so it is cooler outside and I can tune the EFI for WOT. I expect to get closer to 375 at the rear wheels with this set-up well tuned. The car did a 13.7 quarter mile at Beach Bend. Once I can get the car to hook up, I should be in the mid 12's.

Tested: MSD's Atomic EFI system
We got our hands on the new MSD Atomic EFI conversion kit and test it out on a 1969 Nova with a GM 454ci big-block crate engine. We removed the Nova's old 850 cfm carb, which choked and gagged it's way to an underwhelming 285 hp and 296 ft/lbs of torque on the Dyno. In a matter of hours, we had the MSD Atomic EFI kit installed and back on the Dyno for more testing. The installation couldn't have been easier and the end result increased power to 315 hp and 322 ft/lbs at the rear tires with better drivability, a crisper throttle response, and improved idle.
