Serial # 00008!
It's not a car, it's a lifestyle. The first time you drive one you'll learn what SRT® Viper owners already know. It's a consuming passion. You'll find yourself standing in the garage just staring at it. Your eyes follow the curves and character lines right into the driver's seat again. So you drive. And the world seems right again. The 2013 SRT® Viper combines classic beauty with enough modern flair to start your love affair anew. Bodywork on the Viper more closely hugs what lies beneath to look more compact and purposeful, while evolving the classic Viper form. The side "gill" shape inspired by the original Viper RT/10® remains a focal point. The new roofline is longer, tapers more toward the rear, and the fenders have broader shoulders and a much more aggressive racecar look. Classic colors and stripes lead back to quick-firing LED tail lamps masked by dark-tinted snakeskin lenses. It's love at first bite. The legendary SRT® Viper is back with enough raw emotion and power that it will capture your soul.
The newly updated V-10 engine produces a heart-pumping 640 horsepower at 6,150 rpm and 600 pound-feet of torque at 4,950 rpm, the most of any naturally aspirated sports car in the world.
The venerable Tremec TR6060 close-ratio six-speed manual transmission is standard on both the SRT Viper and SRT Viper GTS with closer gear ratios for better response. Shift throws have been reduced by 12.5 percent to improve performance, and a final-drive gear ratio of 3.55 to 1 produces new levels of top-speed performance. The 2013 SRT® Viper is leaner, meaner and powers through corners with the precision of, well, a snake. Viper keeps a near-perfect 50/50 weight balance front to back and features a new, lighter and stiffer space-frame structure.
Stability control is a first on Viper allowing full "on" or "off" of the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) systems. SRT Viper produces sledgehammer launches with new standard steering-wheel-mounted launch control. Maximum acceleration with the push of a button.
Performance coil springs, gas-charged, aluminum-body Bilstein® monotube dampers and tubular stabilizer bars front and rear complete the race-inspired suspension system. SRT® Viper is equipped with an ultra high-performance braking system worthy of any track. Engineered using 14-inch (355 mm) vented rotors front and rear and industry-leading Brembo® four-piston calipers all around, SRT Viper delivers shorter stopping distances, better brake modulation, firmer pedal feel and less brake fade than other supercars.
The optional "Track Package" features StopTech two-piece rotors that reduce weight by one-third and feature a billet aluminum "AeroHat" design and curved vanes for improved cooling at high speeds. Slip inside SRT® Viper and let your senses run wild. The new Viper has the most finely detailed interior in Viper history. Using high-grade materials and surfaces in a contemporary and spacious driver-focused environment, the SRT Viper and Viper GTS interiors provide comfort and luxury to the max.
Premium touch points include hand-cut, sewn and wrapped leather and soft organic grain vinyl throughout, including the leather-wrapped steering wheel unique to the species. The triple-paint-finished gun metal appliques on bezels, color accents in the seats, doors and air outlets and matching color stitching on the instrument panel, doors, console, steering wheel and grab handle all add to the breathtaking interior. Sabelt race-inspired seats surround you. While state-of-the-art electronics stare you down, including an 8.4-inch color touch-screen, a 7-inch LED-backlit TFT electronic vehicle information display (EVIC) provides performance-oriented feedback to the driver.
Let the romance begin.

2013 SRT Viper meets Shinedown
A compilation thrown together to pay tribute to the continuation of a legend. No not Shinedown, the SRT Viper. The Viper was cancelled in 2010 with no concrete evidence of later production. Clearly it's back. So here's a video to commemorate the Gen V and those who came before it. Enjoy.

2013 SRT Viper tears up the race track
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 SRT Viper is at home on the race track. In fact the new SRT and GTS Viper is really a race car in civilian clothing. Welcome to TFLcar's Viper week. For the next 5 days we'll be featuring a new Viper video every day. Today we continue with a video of the Viper doing what it does best....tearing up the Sonoma Raceway in the hands of Ralph Gilles...the CEO and President of the newly minted SRT Brand. The new Viper is Ralph's baby. He was intimately involved in the new car's design and creation. In this video he talks about what makes the new Viper such an American supercar classic and perhaps most interestingly he reveals the newest generation of Viper will also get an automatic transmission during the life of the car.
