Tig Napier performs a 130ft wheelie in his 1974 Dodge Challenger 'Bad Habit' (572ci) in a drag race against Nigel Green in his VW Beetle while competing in the 2010 Springspeed Nationals at Shakespeare County Raceway... although Tig 'red lit', his awesome wheelie more than made up for it!! 138 mph terminal speed and a 9.7 second quarter mile!!

Dodge Challenger Slow motion Wheelie
1974 Dodge Challenger Slomo Wheelie vid. Santa Pod 2010 eurofinals. By
Blackett Photography. Here the car is powered by a 572ci Wedge motor. Runs
mid 9's @ full weight (3850lb +). To make the caltracks work you need
plenty of front end lift, bump stops were removed and frames notched to get
almost 6 1/2 inches of travel. Something Chrysler never designed that
suspension for I'd guess. We've since improved the bump steer by replacing
parts and resetting the camber / castor as the front has aftermarket parts
and plenty of adjustment.
In reality it's difficut to fully eliminate without going to a strut type
front end, though some people appear to have done it on stock stuff, it
seems to be a common chrysler trait. Check out the superstock video's from
the '70s and most Mopars do it also check out my other real time wheelie
vids you see that the wobble lasts only a fraction of a second.

Making a Wheelie Bar and Dragracing Tires - FG Dragster
I'm working on my next project, another largescale onroad car. It's an FG
Sportsline 2WD 530. This car is going to be turned into a 1970 Dodge
Challenger! Today I'm making my own wheelie bar and a custom set of rear
I couldn't find any scale looking wheelie bars for this monster-to-be, so I
decided to construct my own. I took some Axial balljoints and rodends, that
I had as spares. These parts, listed in the links below, are intended for
the 4-link suspension setup of the Axial SCX10. By adding some M4 threaded
rods, slid into some 6mm aluminium tubing, I can line the whole
construction up for my needs. I added a modified bodypost from the same
parts tree to mount the top to the rear shocktower. On the rear, I slid
some of the aluminium tubing through the 4 rodends to connect them, and
used an Axial winchblock to act as a "wheel" in between them. The
functionality of the wheelie bar is not as important as the look. And, I
wanted to keep the cost low. A wheelie bar like this will end up costing
you around 20 dollar.
The tires I want to use on the rear need to have a larger diameter. I
sourced a set of rear 5th scale Formula 1 rims and tires, that I drill and
dremel out to fit to my Centerline rims. A link to the tires can be found

Caught doing a wheelie by the Cops
In Victoria, Australia. It is not Illegal to film a Police officer.
EDUCATING THE MAJORITY - DONT DO WHEELIES ON THE STREETS!
On April the 5th @5.30pm i was caught doing a wheelie.
The police Biker was apparently behind me.. I never knew !
The fine was $706.00 AUD + future court fees that will be $$$$..
i assume i will lose mylicence for at least 3 months, maybe 12 months
- i wont know until the court papers come.
The Police officer: He was actually pretty nice, i have no reason to hate
I was caught up in the moment, the bike in-front of me was lane splitting
pretty hard previously so a spare of the moment to wheelie on that nice
open road.. Bad decision !
