Otherwise it is a toss-up between the Camry and the Accord. But the new Accord is more refined and much more exciting to drive. The trim level tested here is the Sport trim level which starts at $24,665. The Sport trim gets you fog lights, 18-inch aluminum wheels, Sport-tuned suspension, and a dual-Exhaust. Then engine is a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder that makes 189 horsepower and 182 lb-ft. of torque. Even though this is called the Sport model, the transmission is still a CVT unit. The good news though is the fuel economy is 26 MPG in the city and 35 MPG on the highway. The interior is a great place to be. The controls are perfectly laid out with wonderful visibility. There is also a standard reversing camera. Everything is logically arranged and marked. It is very easy to find all the controls since there is not much clutter and technology. You can get more features and options by getting one of the higher trim levels. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikeschmeee http://www.mikeschmeee.com After many tests and hours of driving around at a local track, I've narrowed down the most decent settings with the Zoom H1 in order to capture the sound of the Mugen Twin Loop Exhaust. I did the best I could with the tools, software and my current knowledge. I still think this is a terrible video but I've been trying so hard to capture the right balance of engine and Exhaust note in one clip that I'm thinking I require more mics in order to capture the sound one is able to hear in person within the cabin of the vehicle. So this video will have to do for now until I master this stuff. BEFORE YOU COMMENT : -The purpose of this video is only to show the difference between quick shifting and powershifting. -Constructive comments are welcome. -Stop whining about the shape of the transmission. I don't drive like that all day everyday, and it still shifts like butter (must be done properly though). -Whining about the position of my hand on the steering wheel is also irrelevant. I usually drive with both hands on it, but during the making of the video I happened to let one hand on the shifter because I felt like it (multiple shifts on a short time). -Thanks for watching and let the VTEC kick in, yo ! VIDEO DESCRIPTION: Quick lifted shifts vs full throttle powershifts. Powershifting means that you never leave your foot off the gas while shifting. Also added some rev matching near the end.
