Sierra 3dr Turbo Pinto test run
Finally after some annoying problems this little project is in driving condition.
Car is a '86 3dr Ford Sierra 2.0 iS, engine is Pinto and current spec is:
Low compression pistons (chamber "bowls")
Ported head + mild cam
Cossie turbo & Intercooler.
EEC-IV with 332cc SMP D17208A injectors.
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator + tweaked air flow meter.
Approx little over 0.8bar of Boost.
BUT now it has a piece missing from the first piston so it doesn't go anywhere before building a stonger engine.
Had a tad less ignition advance than stock N/A engine but it was a tad bit too much...
In this video this is one of the first test runs with the engine tuned to drivable state with 0.75 bar of peak Boost.

Because of the bad camera mic sound isn't really as like IRL and with the last chapter filmed outside the car that wind really ruins the sound but oh well...
Oh and yes the paint job in the engine bay is fugly.
Olemme urpoja vai mitä mutta ilo on ainakin aitoa :)
Skogenracing: Ford Capri 2.9 turbo driving around (535bhp @ 21psi)
Made 535bhp at 21psi (1.45bar) of Boost. Pistons, Rods, valves, headgaskets are stock parts. Probably worlds strongest 2.9 cologne with so many standards parts.
