NZV8 TV S3 Episode 5 - Powercruise, Holden HQ Kingswood, GP Hydroplaning - Part 1
On this week's show, we get down to the huge Powercruise event held
recently at the Taupo Motorsport Park. We have full coverage of the
Powerskids and all the Off Street Racing. It was an awesome event and it's
no suprise that's where we found this week's feature car -- a supercharged
Holden HQ Kingswood that had no issue turning rubber into smoke. After all
the excitement of Powercruise we needed to relax by the water so we caught
up with Australasian GP Hydroplaning champion Graeme Weller as he attempts
to set the World GP Hydroplane Speed Record.

I was filling it up this afternoon and an old guy (had to be 75 if he was a
day) slowly walked over. I thought I must of cut him off or something. But
he just cam over to say "Thats a great sounding car you have there" and
slowly made his way back to his Daihatsu.

Luke Foley's wild Holden VH Commodore street car hits the track with a new
engine setup in the way of a GM 408ci LS2 V8 complete with a mid frame turbonetics 88mm turbocharger. The ran into the nines on Luke's
first pass and considering it was his first time testing the new
combination we're sure it will run quicker yet.
