2jz 300zx lays down 726whp on E85
1990 2jzgte powered 300zx tuned by John Reed Racing at Portland Speed Industries. 550whp on E10 700+whp on E85 Stock Block This car was set up by John to run a flex fuel tune. The vipec ECU interpolates between fuel and timing maps depending on the ethanol content signal. This allows the car to run on any mixture of pump gas and ethanol without a problem. For more power, all what's required is to fill the tank with ethanol and the Vipec will do the rest. Future plans for this car include setting it up with a secondary fuel tank for E98. The secondary pump in this tank will be activated manually when needed. This allows the ability to increase or decrease power (correctly) while on the fly. Video shot by Kyle Tomita (Thanks Kyle!)
