Spring Fling Car Show Gateway Classic Cars - Hot Rods Muscle Cars and Classics
Be sure to check us out on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/RamblinAroundTV Despite the rain putting a damper on the outside festivities, we still had a great time at the Spring Fling at Gateway Classic Cars. They just moved a bunch of the vendors into the building and took the party inside. They had great music by the Rat Rod Kings, they had plenty of food on hand, and of course, tons of great cars to check out. Manns Restoration, from Festus, MO, brought out their beautiful 1955 Chevy Nomad despite the weather. They also had an awesome supercharged Mustang from Craven Performance that really drew a crowd. Also in attendance were Gateway Motorsports Park, Kent Auto Museum, Rival House garage, Scott Credit Union, and countless others. I hope you like taking a look around, thanks for watching! 133343 / 1971 Dodge Dart
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/8ugw4de If you like Mopar power in small packages, it doesn't get much better than this 1971 Dodge Dart. Featuring a pro built 440, drag-ready suspension and a fully functional interior, this meticulously restored Dart strikes the perfect balance between street and strip. At under $30k, you can have fun blowing the doors off stock HEMI cars and still have leftover money for gas and rear tires. The beneficiary of a rotisserie restoration, the panels on this '71 are solid and true. Originally a GW3 Bright White car, those panels now wear an expertly applied coat of DuPont's Viper Red. The paint is practically luminescent and free of any notable imperfects. Peek underneath and you'll find that glossy paintwork extends to the floor pans. Panel fitment is far better than what the Windsor, Ontario plant was capable of. Gaps are even all around and doors shut with ease. From bumpers to badging, all trim is show quality. A fiberglass AAR Six Pak hood adds an aggressive look to the otherwise subtle Dart. Lift the hood and you'll find a period correct 440 block that's been bored ,30 and stuffed with speed parts such as Speed Pro 10:1 forged pistons, Clevite rods and a Comp XE284H camshaft. The 452 heads have been ported , polished and topped with chrome valve covers. Up top, a Holley no-choke 4-barrel carburetor sits atop a Weiand Team G intake manifold. The set up breathes through coated under-frame headers that connect to 3" piping and chambered race mufflers. Backing the 440 is a JW Performance A727 Torqueflite automatic transmission built with a reverse manual valve body, 3,400 rpm stall converter and a Mopar SFI flex plate. A Mancini driveshaft loop keeps the custom driveshaft in place while transferring power to the Sure-Grip equipped Dana 60. Suspension is aided by Competition Engineering 3-way adjustable shocks up front with staggered leafs and Mopar Super Stock shocks. At the corners, 15-inch Weld Pro-Star wheels are wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber. Inside, a fully restored bench-seat interior retains most of its stock charm. The Music Master AM radio is even in its original place. A Mopar Tuff steering wheel has been added along with Auto Meter gauges that monitor rpms, oil pressure, voltage and water temperature. Gear selection comes courtesy of a B&M Prostick shifter. Most Mopar builds of this quality would easily run you into second mortgage territory. For $30k, this fully sorted Dart delivers on all fronts. If you're looking for a badass cruiser with plenty of bite, don't miss your opportunity to take this one home. Greg's 9 second 74 Duster
This car has been a long time coming for Greg. The engine, an SDCE built 383cid has an SDCE sheetmetal intake and runs on SDS EFI. Boost comes from the SDCE 12 rib D series intercooled ProCharger system. Built back in 2002 making 801 flywheel HP on our engine Dyno at 6200RPM's and about 12.5 PSI of Boost, Greg hasn't touched the program at all since it left our shop back in 2002! The tranny is a GM 4L80E with a transbrake. www.sd-concepts.com

134370 / 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/khz6ean With an extensive list of top-shelf engine modifications, this expertly restored 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger is a no-compromises car that is dollar for dollar, more fun than anything else you can buy. Benefitting from a recent frame up restoration, this Dodge Dart still retains all of its original sheetmetal. The cars solid panels were straightened and sanded until everything lined up just right and then covered in original Chrysler code GF3 Light Green Metallic and a gloss white Swinger stripe. Up front, a showroom fresh grille spans the entire width of the car and houses correct headlights and marker lights that function perfectly. On top of the hood, a Duster scoop, complete with chrome "360" emblems, sits on the cars central body line and provides an aggressive look that goes great with new for 1973 front end styling. The profile of the car combines the modern look of late 60s and early 70s design with fender lines that kick up right behind the doors to provide the classic 'coke bottle shape' introduced in the 50s. At the back of the car, ridged fenders flow into another broad show worthy chrome bumper which houses four great looking silver trimmed tail lights. This is one slick car that someone spent a lot of time perfecting. Open the light green hood and check out the cars stout Mopar Performance 360 crate motor that has been completely disassembled and enlarged to 408 cubic inches. On top of the motor, a Holley 750 double pumper grabs air through a chrome air filter with a reusable filter element and sucks fuel from stainless fuel lines that are complete with a Summit fuel pressure gauge. That air-fuel mixture goes through a Mopar M1 single plane intake into Magnum R/T high flow aluminum heads that have been street ported, street polished and rebuilt with Manley stainless valves. The fuel is sparked by an MSD Blaster coil and Chrysler Electronic ignition system, which was new for 1973, and sends fire through Accel racing wires. Sportsman Racing Products pistons, rings and connecting rods combine with an Eagle crank and Clevite bearings to provide an 11.8:1 compression ratio. Exhaust gases then exit through coated TTI long tube headers into a 3 inch Exhaust system equipped with Magnaflow mufflers. The engine bay is spotless and has been coated in body matching code GF3 Light Green Metallic which carries the same gloss as the cars exterior body panels. Under the car a 904 3-speed automatic features a Coan Racing 3800 stall converter, a full reverse manual valve body and an auxiliary cooler mounted in front of the cars radiator. That tough transmission twists a custom driveshaft that is connected to an 8 ¾ limited slip rear end that houses Moser axles and Richmond Sure Grip 3.91 gears. Holding this awesome driveline into place is a factory torsion bar front suspension and a factory rear suspension with Mopar Super Stock leaf springs and adjustable air shocks. At the corners, a full set of Weld Pro Star wheels wearing 215/60 front and 235/60 rear BF Goodrich radials give the car a ton of attitude.— The restored to original Chrysler code D2F6 green vinyl bench interior is in great shape and shows little to no wear. There's a very informative Auto Meter Sport Comp tachometer on the column and a matching trio of Autometer gauges under the dash, but those are the only signs of progress from the driver's seat. The original dash shows no signs of weathering and houses correct gauges that are wrapped in correct wood applique. To the right of the gauges, an old school Sparkomatic deck sends sound to a pair of Panasonic 6x9's in the rear package tray. The dark green door panels are in excellent shape and feature only chrome door handles and chrome window cranks for ornamentation. The original steering wheel and original column are color matched to the dash and feature a chrome shifter for the 904 transmission and a correct green horn button. This 1973 Dart is a solid build with a tight motor that is beautifully finished and would certainly cost two or three times our asking price if you wanted to build it yourself. Call, click, or visit http://rkmotorscharlotte.com for more information!
