2003 Volkswagen Passat W8 4Motion Start Up, Rev, & Quick Tour - 87K (Bad Torque Converter)
2003 VW Passat with 4Motion AWD ( Start Up, Rev, & Brief Tour ) This has a 4.0L DOHC W8 making 270 HP while paired to a 5 Speed Auto. Interior materials at the time it came out didn't seem bad but now it just looks so bad. So many plastic pieces with the color wearing off, any cracked panel, Trim around the door lifting off, airbag cover beginning to warp. This car seems to have transmission issues. When I put it in Drive, it made a huge jerk & wanted to leap forward. And it seems part of its problem is a failing Torque Converter which was whining upon fluctuating throttle. The whine is not the power steering as it didn't make noise when rotating the wheel.
