Ford Ranger im Test: Offroad ein echter Kerl
Endlich -- werden sich die deutschen Ranger-Fans denken -- ist es vorbei
mit der biederen Optik des Pick-ups von Ford. Beim neuen Ranger sieht man

2012 Ford Ranger T6 EuroNCAP Crash Tests (Frontal, Side, & Pole Impacts)
The passenger compartment of the Ranger remained stable in the frontal
impact. Dummy readings in the tests indicated good protection of the knees
and femurs of both the driver and front passenger. Ford showed that a
similar level of protection would be provided for occupants of different
sizes and those sat in different seating positions. For the passenger, all
body regions were well protected. For the driver, protection of the chest
was adequate and that of other body regions was good. Maximum points were
scored in the side barrier test, with good protection of all body areas. In
the more severe side pole test, chest protection was adequate and that of
other body regions was good. The front seats and head restraints provided
marginal protection against whiplash injuries in a rear-end impact.
Forward movement of the 3 year dummy, sat in a forward facing restraint,
was not excessive. In the side impact, both dummies were properly contained
in the protective shells of their restraints, minimsing the risk of
dangerous head contacts. The passenger airbag can be disabled to allow a
rearward facing restraint to be used in that seating position. Clear
information is provided regarding the status of the airbag and the system
The bumper provided good protection to pedestrians' legs. The front edge of
the bonnet was more mixed, with good areas and some areas which gave poor
protection to struck pedestrians. However, in the areas likely to be struck
by a child's head, the bonnet provided almost entirely good protection and
was predominantly good in the areas likely to be struck by an adult's head.
Electronic stability control is standard equipment on all variants of the
Ranger and met Euro NCAP's test requirements. A seatbelt reminder is
provided for the driver and front passenger seats. A speed limitation
device is not available.
Nissan Navara 2012 & Ford Ranger 2012
The Ford Ranger, code named T6, was unveiled at the Australian
International Motor Show in Sydney. The T6 replaces two regional Ranger
platforms: the Mazda BT-50-derived model sold in the Latin America, Europe,
and Asia-Pacific regions and the North American model sold in select Latin
The Navara came with a 174 bhp (130 kW; 176 PS) (169 bhp (126 kW; 171 PS)
engine on post September '06 vehicles with the introduction of the Euro IV
compliant engine). It has four trim levels, the S, SE, Outlaw and Aventura.
The Aventura trim package is equipped with leather upholstery, Dual Zone
Climate Control, 6 CD/MP3 changer and satellite navigation as standard.
In Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, the D40 Navara has a few
differences from the UK versions. There are 2 engines available, 2.5-liter
turbo-charged Diesel engine and the V-6
petrol. The Diesel engine in 4WD models produces 128 kW (172 hp) at 4000
rpm and 403 N·m (297 lb·ft) at 2000 rpm, with the 2WD models producing
less at 106 kW (142 hp) at 4000 rpm and 356 N·m (263 lb·ft) at 2000 rpm.
The V-6 produces 198 kW (266 hp) at 5600 rpm of power and 385 N·m (284
lb·ft) at 4000 rpm of torque. Both engines come with a standard 5-speed
Automatic, with a 6-speed manual available for the Diesel. These models do
not have leather, climate control or satellite navigation system like their
