What I have to say about the 1999 Alero: For 1999, Oldsmobile has replaced the aged Achieva with the new Alero. Set to compete with the top dogs like the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord, stealing sales is very unlikely but stealing sales away from the Dodge Sratus and Ford Taurus are easy. The Oldsmobile has a very ergonomically correct interior and everything is easy to reach and modern. The seats are very comfortable and material quality is decent. Styling on the Alero is also a strong point with a nice curvaceous front end that makes it stand out from other midsize sedans. All in all great car from Oldsmobile.Like Camerons Car Reviews on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/?ref=cws
2000 Oldsmobile Alero
This is a quick video of my stock 2000 Oldsmobile Alero GL, it has a 3.4L V6 Engine.
Rack & Pinion R&R
Rack & Pinion steering gears look like they are really hard to replace. Sure, some are more difficult than others. But many are not that bad. The Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner, & Mazda Tribute are all the same vehicle and have the same steering system. Here is how to replace it.

Fix It Right! - Intake Manifold Gasket Replacement
Fix It Right! - Intake Manifold Gasket Replacement (S1E4)
Demonstrated on a 2004 Buick Century 3.1L V6 FWD.
In this video, we demonstrate how to perform an intake manifold gasket replacement on a front-wheel-drive 3.1L V6 engine, in this case in a 2004 Buick Century. This is a common point of failure on General Motors' 3.1L, 3.4L, and 3.8L V6 engines, which are used in a large number of passenger cars across most of GM's model lines.

About the "Fix It Right!" video series:
"Fix It Right!" is a series of how-to videos intended to give do-it-yourselfers basic instructions on proper vehicle repair and maintenance. All of our videos show real repairs being performed on real vehicles by real technicians in a real auto shop. (Repairs are filmed and shown with the permission of the vehicles' owners.) Although there may be more than one way to perform any particular repair (and in many cases there are lots of ways!) we try to focus on the methods that will be safest and most expedient for DIYers with limited access to tooling and equipment.
We will also occasionally be showing repair processes that are too complex or dangerous for DIY, or require specialized tooling, expertise, equipment, and/or certifications. Those episodes will highlight the importance of hiring a professional auto technician for tasks that are not DIY-friendly, and demonstrate why such tasks are best left to professionals.

Up From Clay - A Car is Born in 1959
A General Motors film that delves into how a car goes from a clay model to being mass produced.
We see how designers and engineers take drawings turn them into clay mock ups and translate it into the tooling that will stamp steel and determine how all the steel, glass, rubber, fabrics and more will be turned into a brand new automobile.
We also see how these cars are put through their paces on the test track.
Pontiac Grand Am SE Sport Coupe 3300 V6 45,000 Original Miles Near Mint Test Drive Video Review
Pontiac Grand Am SE Sport Coupe 3300 V6 45,000 Original Miles Near Mint Test Drive Video Review http://www1ownercarguy.com This is one of the cleanest cars like this that I have had. The car only has 45K Original miles on it and that is barely broke in on a car like this. It has the 3.3L 3300 V6 which is a very good motor for power and fuel economy. The exterior is beautiful. The paint looks great and has a very nice shine to it. Everything about this car is clean as can be. The interior is just beautiful. It shows hardly any wear at all and looks great. Everything on the car works and you can really tell that someone took very good care of this car over the years.

For 1992 the Grand Am received new body work and a revised interior. A V6 option returned in the form of the 160 hp 3.3L 3300 V6. The 2.3 inline four came as either a SOHC or DOHC. A high output version of the DOHC was offered as well. A new GT trim was offered that featured sportier wheels, smoother, yet larger cladding, and more standard equipment.
1993 brought further refinement to the Quad 4. This resulted in a loss of 5 horsepower (3.7 kW) to all engines. In 1994, the V6 and standard 3-speed powertrain were effectively replaced by GM's new 3.1L 3100 series V6 engine and new 4-speed automatic transmission. A driver's side airbag also became standard for '94, but the door-mounted seatbelts persisted. In 1995, the Quad 4 engines received balance shafts, and a direct driven power steering off the intake camshaft. The four-speed automatic that was mated to the 3.1 in '94 became optional as a step-up from the three-speed for '95 on the new Quad 4 engine.
