1927 Ford: Double-Trouble -- /BIG MUSCLE
• Gordon Tronson
In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as
big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as
"Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated
from 1.5-inch tube. Is powered by two 4.6-liter modular V8s from Ford with
four, count 'em, FOUR Superchargers for
an approximate power output of around 1,200 hp. It also utilizes the
rear-end (inboard disc brakes and all) from an early Jaguar. It's a rolling
a Hot Wheels car and a masterpiece of engineering that is sure to make all
your naughty bits tingle.
The Basic Parts of an Automatic Transmission (Part 1)
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/
This is part one of my front wheel drive (FWD) automatic transmission
dissection video. In this video I cover the operation of clutches, bands,
accumulators, clutch drums, the oil pump, the valve body, valves, check
balls, seals and 'o' rings, as well as the construction and function of
many of the internal hard parts of an automatic transmission. To be honest
a rear wheel drive transmission isn't much different as many of the basic
components are the same. I guess what I'm saying is that you could use the
information in this video to have a basic understanding of a rear wheel
drive automatic transmission also. It is just a basic overview of the main
components. I don't get into theory and operation so much. Just the
general operation and identification of the parts. I may make more videos
on this topic based on the comments I get so feel free to ask questions and
perhaps I'll answer them in a future video on this topic. There will also
be a separate video on the parts and operation of the torque converter as
well. When that is posted I'll post links below to that video.

Ford History - Crash Tests
In the early 70s Ford dedicated more effort devoted to the problem of
safety testing and many more specific crash tests. They also took care of
solving pollution problems, with studies on how to reduce gas emissions and
on alternative fuels. This Galaxy 500, from the early 70s, the typical
American limosine, underlines how Ford looked at the future without losing
the traditional models including the elite ones. During the same period The
US Ford factories began to produce compact cars like Pinto. In Europe,
production increased and models were diversified, including those made in
Britain and Germany. Cars like the Escort, also starring in the rallies,
and then Capri, Cortina and Fiesta contributed to the spread of the brand.
In 1979 came the acquisition of the Japanese Mazda, which joined the Ford
scarico e sui carburanti alternativi.
