Buick Lesabre 3800 t-type turbocharge V6 - Six speed maunal transmission
A walk around of the prototype Buick Lesabre t-type project. Project concise of the Buick L67 3800 engine (long) block (all stock internal with camshaft) with stock BLT intake manifold. Injectors are 36lbs Delphi.TDO6 turbocharger, F40 six speed manual transmission, Custom aluminum flywheel,11 inch front Disc (ABS) brakes. KYB AGX struts with 7/8 rear sway (anti-roll) bar.The turbo system is liquid inter cool. Paint is next on the to-do-list and chrome surface the aluminum section of the rims. OBD-II DTC(Code) P0127/P0112/P0113 IAT(Intake Air Temperature) Sensor. How to test/diagnois.
In this video we take a look at the Intake Air Temperature(IAT) Sensor(DTC Code) That will cause the "CHECK ENGINE" light to display on the dashboard gauge cluster. Here we will review the location of the IAT sensor PLUS explain a method of testing the sensor at various ambient air temperature. The intake air temperature sensor is mounted to the air duct housing or air filter compartment. The sensor detects intake air temperature and transmits a signal to the ECM. The temperature sensing unit uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature. Electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases in response to the temperature rise. Digital Multi-Volt OHMS reading for intake air temperature @ 68F degree is 2.1 - 2.9 ohms and 3.5 volts at sensor harness plug. Digital Multi-Volt OHMS reading for intake air temperature @176F degree is 0.27 - 0.38 ohms and 1.23 volts at sensor harness plug. * use a 10M ohms Digital multi-volt meter for testing* DTC P0112 - intake air temperature sensor circuit low input - An excessively low voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM- possible cause - Harness or connector(the sensor circuit is open or shorted to ground). DTC P0113 - air intake temperature sensor circuit high input - A excessively volt high voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM - possible cause - intake air temperature sensor. DTC P0127 - intake air temperature too high - rationally incorrect voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM, compared with the voltage signal from engine coolant temperature sensor - possible cause - Harness or connectors(the sensor circuit is open or shorted), or intake air temperature sensor THANK YOU for view this TECHNICAL VIDEO MEDIA, and SUPPORTING of Independent Media.

This video is a wonderfully-done documentary, written and produced by Michael Rose, on the history of Buick as presented in 1995 from the History Channel's archive. Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim: "No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men, William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were regarded as some of the finest cars ever made.
