1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS All Street Project Car
This is my 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. I have owned this car for 13
years and it has been in the family for over 26 years. The car has just
under 29,000 original miles. The engine and drivetrain is all original as
well as the paint and interior. I didn't drive the car much, so I decided
to make a few subtle changes, mostly in the stance, so I would drive it
more. Just don't care for the stock stance on these cars. For the front I
used 2" drop Belltech spindles and 1" drop Belltech springs. For the rear I
used OPG 3" drop rear springs. 3" total drop front and rear. I used
Belltech Street Performance shocks on all four corners. The wheels are
Center Line Retros 18 x7 front, 18 x 8 rear. Nitto NT555 tires 225/45 in
the front, 255/45 in the rear. Also for a little more sound, I went with
Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers and custom tailpipes. I drive the car a lot
now just cause I enjoy it so much more. I didn't cut anything and I have
everything to put the car back original if I ever decide to in the future.
Thanks for looking!
1971 Monte Carlo with 454ci engine, 3" original Flowmaster 50 series mufflers, no tailpipes
This is my 1971 Monte Carlo. The video clip is for sound comparisons for
different Exhausts. The engine is
about 9:1 compression and has a small hydraulic roller cam (224/234 deg @
0.050", .527"/.544" lift). The intake is an Edelbrock RPM air gap, and the
carb is a 750 Mighty Demon mechanical Secondary. The headers are Hooker
Competition headers with 2" primaries and 3.5" collectors which go into 3"
dual Exhaust with 3" 50-Series
Flowmaster mufflers which end right before the rear end.

THIS MONTE CARLO SS IS SOLD, HOWEVER I CURRENTLY AM SELLING MY SILVER 1987
MONTE CARLO SS WITH TTOPS.
Up for sale is a 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. It is in great condition
and only selling it because I need the money. I have owned this car for
two years now and would trust it to drive anywhere. It is very reliable.
I have won many trophies with it, at local carshows and it is defiantly a
It has Brand New Paint, which is very shiny and looks great. I had the
windows professionally tinted last fall. It has 20 inch Eagle Alloy Series
212 Rims on it, with Hankook tires. The rims were purchased from Summit
Racing for $1165 (receipts to prove it) and tires from Discount Tire Direct
for $879. So the whole wheel package cost me $2044. Also, with the
wheels, I installed Hotchkis lowering springs. (2 inch in front and 1 inch
in rear). Looks great and doesn't ride bad either! I also replaced all of
the stock speakers with Pioneer speakers. They sound great. Also, in the
trunk is a Bazooka Amp and a Kicker Sub. Car has a Flowmaster Catback Exhaust system, so it will still pass
emissions test. The owner before me put in a car alarm, with two keyless
entrée remotes. Just recently went through the brakes so its ready to go!

BADMONTESS's shared video file. This is a walk around of my Monte. Just
finished having the motor built, still breaking it in. Wanted to post a few
clips of it's Exhaust system coming
online. Much of the vehicle has been went over. Upgraded suspension,Race
grade transmission, and all the details that goes into wanting to get an
awesome build. Not yet Dynoed, expect about 580 whp on

This is the 454 LS-7 Big Block Chevy I have owned since '91. Stock bore,
steel "990" heads, .710 lift Comp Solid Roller Cam, Brodix aluminum ported
intake, 1350 cfm Holley Dominator, Comp. Hooker Headers. These motors come
from the factory with 12.5 pistons, steel crank, 4-bolt mains, and the best
of everything. The most "Bullet Proof" engine GM ever made. We rev it to
7000 rpm every shift. Best time was 9.78 @ 137mph in 1/4 and 6.16 @ 112mph
in 1/8 mile. 3000 lb. car with driver. "Foot Breakin', NO electronics at
all. No trans brake.
Monte Carlo Exhaust
Had some Exhaust work done on my car,
both mufflers have been removed and the resonator has been replaced with a
cherry bomb glasspack.
1970 Monte Carlo Flowmaster 50 Series Exhaust Clip w/ Cutouts
Got rid of the glasspacks and went to 3" Flowmaster 50 series and I love
them. Not too obnoxious to drive the car for 3 hours or more, but the QTP
electric cut-outs let me open the Exhaust as much as I want to make some noise.
Pypes X-Change X-pipe, custom down pipes, and 3" mandrel bent tailpipes off
ebay! I didn't want the Flowmaster tailpipes since the only style was
straight under the bumper and I like the more concealed look with no bling
