AMT Ertl 1/16th scale '55 Nomad (plastic model)
Yep, out of sight out of mind. I had pulled this one out of the main
display case years ago for some odd reason, temporarily set it way up on a
shelf and forgot all about it until I saw the '55 Nomad kit on
bigblockluv's video. I enjoyed cleaning this one up and it's still looks
pretty good. How old is it? I really can't quite remember. Maybe 15 years?
Check out the distributer. It's smaller than a pencil eraser and I drilled
9 holes in it for the plug wires. Undercarriage was one of those things,
it's one big piece but detailed well so I hand painted the frame and
crossmembers and such. Why? I dunno.
So, on this one I discovered that dust remover does nothing for a model.
But, they can definately be sprayed down with water. Hope you enjoy this
video of this classic old model I built years ago.
