2011 KTM 125 Duke at INTERMOT 2010
KTM made a big splash at the 2009 Milan show with a pair of 125cc concept bikes. The impression was so strong, in fact, that the Austrian company offers a production version of one of those bikes in 2011. It's the Duke 125, a compact, entry-level Supermoto-inspired machine powered by a 125cc four-stroke Single.

Ninja 250's are faster than you think
Just breaking in new tires on Interstate 880 N when I came upon a group of cruisers. The bike in the back is a Ninja 250 with a female rider, and she's hauling some ass. I'm purposely not trying to catch up with the group, as I have no idea who they are.
The building at the end is Oracle Arena where the Golden State Warriors and Oakland Raiders play

It has been a couple years since we last did a Japanese literbike shootout, because, frankly, the field has been quite stagnant for a while (save for Kawasaki's total revamp of the ZX-10R last year). It took them another year, but Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha have all tweaked their respective contenders for 2012 - the CBR1000RR, GSX-R1000 and YZF-R1, have significant changes, while Kawasaki returns for 2012 with the same traction-control-equipped machine it introduced last year, confident of its chances.
