1971 Honda CB500 Cafe Racer Brat Motorcycle
Our latest creation from the Junk Resurrection Garage in Charlotte NC. Started from a stripped frame and a lot of parts in bins, and ended up a real head Turner. Freshened up the motor, rebuilt the carbs, cut, grinded, and welded up the frame to accommodate the new Brat style seat. Made a neat battery/wire compartment under the seat to hide everything. Suspension was upgraded along with better braking components, new Shinko tires, and the use of Rick's electronics. L.e.d lights were used for signals, tail/stop, including the headlight. Clip-ons and rearsets were used for a more aggressive riding stance, and a single gauge speedometer with indicator l.e.d's mounted to a custom bracket. We purchased a sandblaster and powdercoating system for this project, and powdercoated everything we could fit into our oven. The frame and wheels were shot with a gloss black paint, and the tank received a nice Honda silver mettalic. The Exhaust was completely wrapped and is a Jardine Exhaust that was cut and re-welded up and sounds amazing. Our customer missed out on our last bike which was a '78 KZ650 Cafe Racer. When I told him I purchased this cb500 basket case and he could make it his own with whatever budget he had, he jumped. We are proud of our latest project, and the customer is super stoked with his new ride. His budget was $5k and we came in under that as well!
