Mark Kauffman's Pontiac GXP runs 7.25 at 189 mph pass at Pontiac Nationals 2011
Mark Kauffman resets the NA Pontiac Door Car record by running a 7.25 @ 189 mph. He did it with a 2009 Pontiac GXP equipped with a KRE built MR-1A 535 cid engine topped off with KRE WARP 6 cylinder heads. The DA was over 3700 feet when the record was set. Look for this car to dip into the 6 second range in better conditions. Congratulations to Mark Kauffman and the KRE Team!

Pump Gas Pontiac engine 468 cid by Tin Indian Performance on the dyno 558 hp 583 ft lbs of torque
This is a 468 cid Pontiac engine we build to Mike Matuszek and his '66 GTO. The engine is based off a 455 cid pontiac block. An Eagle crank and rod combo was used on the bottom end along with a set of KB forged pistons. A Tin Indian Performance custom ground Comp Cams hyd roller was also used with Comp Cams hyd roller lifters. The engine is topped off with Performer RPM cylinder heads and intake. We also used one of our custom 4150 1" spacers with the 950 cfm quick fuel carb. The combo pulled 11" of vac at 850 rpm! It made 558 hp @ 5400 and 583 ft lbs of torque @ 4500 rpm. ALL ON PUMP GAS!!! Watch those brand new Doug's Headers turn blue on the pull.

Here is a video of our Pontiac Powered Dragster going 6.94 @ 191 mph at Norwalk 2013. We were a little off on the setup on this pass as we went a best of 6.89 later in the weekend.





Pump Gas 440 cid Pontiac engine by Tin Indian Performance for the CF-71 Freedom Bird idel on dyno
This is the 440 cid Pontiac engine we build to Ty Ingle's CF-71 Freedom Bird. The engine is based off a 400 cid pontiac block. Pro-Warrior 4" stroke crank and Pro-Warrior 6.8 long rod were used on the bottom end along with a set of KB forged pistons. A Tin Indian Performance custom ground Comp Cams solid roller was also used with Crower solid roller lifters. The engine is topped off with Kauffman Racing Equipments new North Wind intake manifold and a custom Pro Systems carb. The combo pulled 11" of vac at 850 rpm! It made 590 hp and 550 ft lbs of torque. ALL ON PUMP GAS!!!





Pontiac engine by Tin Indian Performance 461 cid makes 650 horsepower warm up on dyno
This is Mark Billings' 650 horse 461 cid Pontiac engine warming up before we make a pull. This engine uses a stock block, with KRE D port heads, Tin Indian Performance custom ground solid roller cam, Eagle forged crankshaft, Eagle rods, and SRP pistons. Topped off with a KRE Northwind intake which has been port matched to the heads and custom configured Pro Systems HP 1000 carb. Engine runs on 93 octane pump gas!

This is the current combo that is in the Tin Indian Performance Dragster. Combo features a MR-1 cast iron block, forged crankshaft, GRP Rods, Ross Pistons, Total Seal rings, Custom camshaft, KRE 400 CFM High Port Heads, KRE Sheet metal intake with CNC'ed runners and 2 1250 holley dominator carbs. Special KRE made Tri-Y headers, and Star Machine vac pump. This combo makes 1013 hp @ 7800 rpm and 769 ft lbs of torque at 6200 rpm.
