2002 Buick Park Avenue Ultra Rebuilt fuel pump installed. but still having some issues
well i finally installed the rebuilt fuel pump, i would like to apologize to everyone that was looking forward in seeing me rebuild the fuel pump. i can honestly say that i wont be doing that job again with out a tube press machine. it was actually very difficult to get the 7 inch clear pipe on to the fuel pump motor and then to the fuel pump fuel line next to the fuel pressure sensor. as you can see in this video the car stars so that's fantastic!!! but it has cranking issues and it wont stay steady on idle and my transmission was taking long to shift gears on test drive but now my left turn signal has a short, "it doesn't blink" it just stay on solid. so yup the point of this video is to show you that the fuel pump rebuild worked!!!

1998 Buick Park Ave Magnet Fuel Gauge Fix
This is a common problem with the Buick Park Ave. Easy fix with a strong magnet. In this video the magnet I used was not really strong enough that is why you see the edit and the tap tap tap sound at the end. It took me about 5 minutes because I just needed a little more magnet power. I recommend buying a 1" x 1" x 1/4" Neo magnet I will leave a link where to buy. They run about 10.00 but it is strong enough to swing the gauge very easy. A great tool to have. The cause of this is my opinion only. In my case it has done this about 4 times. All 4 times the battery was low. It is battery related and I think the real problem may be the fuel sender. Make sure ignition is turned off before attempting this. You may damage electronics as the magnet is VERY powerful. Use caution and only put as close as needed you should be fine. Thanks for watching!

please know that i am not a mechanic, i am just a friendly dude that wants to help people so in this video im showing you exactly where the fuel pump is located at with the trunk carpet liner off. as you will see in the video the fuel pump cover is has been removed and you will see a close look of the part number of the fuel pump. the fuel pump is an AC DELCO brand which is OEM this fuel pump only works with the supercharged engine from 1997 to 2005 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. once i make to choice to rebuild the fuel pump or make it more simple but more expensive to replace the whole thing instead i will make another video of the fuel pump being removed and the new one going in. as always i make these videos to help other Buick Park Avenue Ultra Owner with replacing similar parts or to help them figure out their problem and solution based on my experience.

It's not drop dead gorgeous like a 1959 Impala, nor does it have the panache of say a 1956 Chrysler 300. You see the '55 Buick Special was a working mans car. It had room enough for the whole family, a decent power-plant thanks to its 264 cubic inch V8, and style that was, well... above average. Harry Fisher or "Uncle Harry" as most people know him, saw the old Buick a bit differently though. He knew that with a few little touches (like a 502 cubic inch big-block, modern suspension, and a new set of wheels) that this old Buick had the potential to become one of the baddest hot-rods around.
