It is a contrast but today's tuners are no different from the sports car enthusiast of the 50's and 60's. Everyone is trying to get the most bang for the buck and many of the cars serve a dual purpose. This MGA typifies the simplicity and purity of minimalism being a greater amount than the sum of what is not there. The smooth lines the knock off alloy wheels the fabulous finish, the simplicity of what the MG was, the sports car America loved first. A driver and a racer, you needed to show some restraint in SCCA club racing, as most of us drove our cars to the track, not dissimilar to the drifters of today. This car to me is just about perfect, the only thing mine would have would be a very discreet Buick/Rover aluminum V8.
