SuperHawk with Affordable Danmoto GP style exhaust installed.

Before these I had Jardine RT-One high mounts that have seen better days and needed to be repacked badly. I wanted my passenger pegs back, but I also wanted nice sounding, nice looking Exhaust. I stumbled across DanMoto and for the price they were worth a shot. So far so good... This video doesn't do the sound of the Exhaust justice it's got a much deeper tone than my phone could pick up.

Exhaust - VTR 1000 Superhawk - Danmoto Carbon GP
People are always looking to see what different Exhausts sound like before they buy, so figured I would add my contribution. This is a 2003 Honda VTR 1000, bone stock. Adding on the Danmoto Carbon GP pipes. Sounds amazing in person, and camera audio just can't do it justice. One note: it was cold, and it is December in Colorado, so the bike was cold, and the choke was on. After riding it, I know I'll have to get the jets done and disable the PAIR valve, as it detonates quite a bit when I let off the Exhaust. Which sounds rad, but, I want it to be running properly, and have it tuned for this altitude as well (Colorado)

Stock 2000 R6 Exhaust vs. Danmoto
I purchased a Danmoto Carbon GP for $105 shipped and this is a video of what you get in the kit and how it sounds compared to my stock Exhaust. I have been told that the stock Exhaust was gutted by the previous owner because it is louder than most other R6s. The new Exhaust has a much lower note at idle and slow speeds but still gets pretty raspy in the high range. But its a SS bike, so its not supposed to sound like a 6L truck. The engine wasnt quite warmed up fully when I tested it with the dan moto in this vid but once I got on it and rode, it sounded very nice and was quite a bit louder in the low speed range, which is exactly when a lot of cars decide to pull out in front of you. Hopefully they will notice a louder Exhaust. All in all, I feel that it was a great $105 investment in my safety. Update: I guess I should update this. I have had the Exhaust now for 2 seasons and it still sounds great. No problems that I can see at all. My butt Dyno tells me the power hasn't changed and the sound is still so much better than the stock. I wish these guys made car Exhausts.

VTR1000F Danmoto JISU Exhaust Demo
Quite cold outside, and the bike needs re-jetted. Looks like to me, when the pipes are very cold, they leak around the can seals on the inboard side of the muffler. This stops happening once it warms up. Odd, but all in all seems to be a decent Exhaust, especially given the price paid of $270. They are VERY loud and VERY deep. Quite pleased with the sound of them. 日本からの友人こんにちは!見ていただきありがとうご ざいます!
