The Ram 1500 Express [S5 Ep.8-1]
Two of the biggest complaints that people have about the new Car
manufacturers today, is that they don't build the cars and trucks people
want, and what they do build is too expensive. Well, never fear because
today on GEARZ, Stacey introduces the new Ram 1500 Express that has a 390
Hemi in a short bed, regular cab truck, and an price tag that will have you
rubbing your eyes and pinching yourself to see if it is true. Better yet,
there is a huge aftermarket out there to help you build a one of a kind
vehicle. In 1968, Plymouth stood the muscle car world on its ear with the
incredible Road Runner. In 2011,Mopar has done it again with the Ram 1500
Express...and GEARZ has the very first one... BEEP...BEEP!!!

2011 Ram 1500, JBA Headers, Straight Pipe No Resonators, 5.7L V8 Hemi
The camera is set about 8 feet away from the truck...
Recently I switched from having a 14" Flowmaster Super 40 to removing the
muffler completely, I enjoyed the lower tones of the FM40 however at the
higher RPM range it seemed a lot of the tone that makes the Hemi sound so
awesome got washed out and it was just loud noise. Now, paired with the JBA
Headers I couldn't be happier, it sounds great cruising in town and
hammering on the throttle is very rewarding to say the least. Idle is
about the same as it was with the muffler, though it barks a little more on
startup, once it settles down it's right where it used to be. Up to 3k RPM
it's notably louder but by only a couple decibels above what I had
previously, but once you get into the peak red line range its quite a bit
louder, and much more "throaty".
I'll be getting a couple driving/cruising vids up soon so you can also get
an idea of what resonance in the cab is like, which for me is on par with
the FM when cruising on the highway, and city is slightly louder.
2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat: 707 Horsepower? Hell Yeah! – Ignition Ep. 116
On this episode of Ignition, presented by Universal Technical Institute,
Carlos Lago drives the most powerful production muscle car on the market:
The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. While it isn’t the most powerful
production V-8 in the world (which loses to the $1 million McLaren P1 by 20
hp before electric motors), the Hellcat’s 707 hp rating seems too
incredible to believe -- especially when you consider the cost. The
question is whether this Challenger has any brain to go along with its
extreme brawn. Through a trip to the Dyno, the test track, the road,
and a standing mile, we find out.
Ignition appears every other Monday on the Motor Trend youtube channel.
