Buick - 1985 Buick Grand National
Here's another great video from the History Channel's archive on the 1985 Buick Regal turbocharged Grand National. Per the History Channel's exact video description:
"A high-horsepower, attention-grabbing celebration of speed, the 1985 Grand National represents Buick's return to muscle-car roots. Now, two teams of veteran mechanics try to extract everything they can from the Grand National's made-for-speed equipment (including turbo engines, fuel injectors, and racing transmissions) to transform the car into a big, mean racing machine
The premise is simple: FULL THROTTLE selects two teams who are each given the same model of classic car in a similar state of disrepair. They're supplied with a garage, tools, and parts, and after 20 hours of repair time, they battle it out in an old-fashioned drag-race on a certified track. The winner keeps both cars. The loser keeps nothing.
They're fast, they're flashy, they reignited America's love of muscle cars-and finally, the 1985 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL returns with a vengeance on the track."

This is part 2 of the entire video for our Buick, Olds and Pontiac day at the local dragstrip. It doesn't have any added music tracks etc. Just the sounds of the track.
Sehr Performance / 908 Horsepower Buick Race Engine.wmv

ODD RODS
SOME OF THE BEST ODD RODS I COULD FINE. SOME CARS ARE MISTAKENLY LABELLED BY ARTIST. A 70 THUNDERBIRD WAS LABELLED AS A FIREBIRD. A YELLOW 70 BUICK GS WAS LABELLED AS A Mustang AND HAS BEEN CROPPED. A 70 PLYMOUTH SUPERBIRD WAS LABELLED AS A TRANS AM. A RED 71-72 OLDS TORONADO WAS LABELLED AS A BOSS 429 AND HAS BEEN CROPPED. A RED 70 GTO WAS MISLABELLED AS A FIREBIRD. THE VERY LAST ONE IS NOT AN ODD ROD BUT ROACH IRON ON.

9-Second Buick Regal Drag Racing and the Corvette on 10.5w wipes out!!
HOK Kandy Regal drag racing! Street legal, 9 seconds on motor! The Corvette gets loose and ends up in my lane after sliding sideways. My first Hot Street victory! Mid 9s on 255/60-15 radials....1.32 60' time!!! Track not very good that day for any of the fast cars, and 90 degree weather to boot!
