430HP Ford Focus RS Wolf Racing - Acceleration with Backfiring Sound!
This time I have filmed a Wolf Racing Ford Focus RS 400 Stage 2 equipped
with Milltek Non resonated cat back Exhaust racing on a closed airfield against
other cars. Wolf Racing upgrades the 2.5 five-cylinder turbocharged engine up to 430HP and 580Nm!
Although the fact is that the RS is for a while on the market, it sounds
pretty good! Especially with an aftermarket Exhaust system like Milltek, Mongoose, Mountune
or Wolf Racing!

The Ford Focus, doesn't exactly ooze forecourt appeal, but it has always
impressed out on the test drive.
However, having a great chassis isn't enough these days. To impress people,
a modern family hatchback has to be stylish, economical, luxurious and
packed full of the latest technology. And the MK3 Focus was starting to
feel a bit lacking in these areas.
That's why Ford has given the Focus one of the most extensive mid-life
updates in history, while retaining the same starting price of £13,995.
The most obvious change is to the looks. The car now gets the Aston
Martin-esque grille and sleeker headlamps like the Fiesta. The rear has
been given similar treatment with new bumpers and new light clusters.
There's a punchy new 1.5-litre turbo
petrol which can return over 50mpg and a 1.5-litre diesel which can do
74mpg and emits under 100g/km CO2 so is free from road tax.
The existing 1.0-litre EcoBoost
petrol, which is one of the best, if not the best engine of its kind on the
market is still available, too. In higher power 125bhp guise it has just
about enough performance for a car of this size and Ford says it can do
One of the biggest challenges ford has faced with the Focus was trying to
make it feel as upmarket inside as a Volkswagen Golf. All but the entry
level car has a new 8-inch touchscreen system which not only looks good,
but is easier to operate than the old system which had a confusing array of
buttons. There's also the new SYNC system which has a much better array of
useful voice commands and is easier to use.
Refinement has been improved, and the suspension has been changed to make
it more cushioning over bumps. The steering is slightly sharper over the
previous model, too.
So then, as before the Focus is a car which will impress on the test drive.
Importantly, the improvements to the looks, technology, economy and the
quality, are clear and so the new Ford Focus is now more likely to impress
people on the forecourt too.

2014 Ford Focus ST - WR TV POV Test Drive
This week we find ourselves behind the wheel of another factory-built hot
hatch. Much like the Fiesta we featured in September, the Focus also gets a
thorough high performance reworking for ST duty from Ford’s engineers.
The Focus ST sports a turbocharged
2.0-liter four cylinder motor that’s good for 252 horsepower and 270
pound-feet of torque. Coupled with a six-speed manual transmission it’s
enough to get the 3200-pound Focus from zero to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. To
match its straight line prowess, the ST gets also an uprated suspension,
bigger brakes which measure 12.6 inches up front and 10.7 inches in the
rear, and a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 high-performance summer tires.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper hot hatch without the requisite sporty
aesthetic, so to that end the Focus ST features more aggressive bodywork,
bigger alloys, a performance Exhaust,
and sits 10mm lower than a standard Focus. Inside, the ST features a trio
of auxiliary gauges mounted atop the dash, a four-spoke leather wrapped
steering wheel, performance pedals, a shift knob unique to the ST, a
smattering of ST badges, and our tester also came fitted with the optional
Recaro sport seats.

2015 Subaru WRX vs 2014 Ford Focus ST! Head 2 Head Ep. 50
On this episode of Head 2 Head, Jonny Lieberman gets his hands on the
all-new, 2015 Subaru WRX, as well as one of Motor Trend's favorite pocket
rockets, the Ford Focus ST. Each car costs about $30,000, sports a
2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder
engine with similar power outputs, and features a 6-speed manual
transmission. The Subaru of course features a sporty version of the brand's
"symmetrical AWD" while the Focus makes due with just the front wheels
driven. However, since it first appeared, the Focus ST has wowed the Motor
Trend staff with ability to dance around corners and, generally, not drive
and feel like a front-wheel driver. We like the Focus ST so much that we
invited it to last year's Best Driver's Car. But does the Ford have what it
takes to beat the latest street-tamed rally baby from Subaru? You're going
to have to watch and find out.
