2014 Mitsubishi Lancer SE AWC Test Drive & 4WD Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/mitsubishi/lancer/2014/?id=32972 The Mitsubishi
Lancer is one of the few compact cars that offers a 4WD operating system.
The Lancer's AWC (All-Wheel Control) system delivers power to the wheels
for maximum grip in the worst road conditions. This compact car is perfect
for those who live in a climate with harsh winters. While the regular 2WD
Lancer starts at $17,195; the SE model with the AWC 4WD system has a base
price of $20,695.
In the market for an AWD vehicle but not keen on the idea of buying a
crossover or SUV? The 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer SE is one of the most
affordable AWD vehicles sold in America Today. The Lancer Compact Sedan is
available in 5 different trim levels including ES, SE, GT, Ralliart, and
EVO. But it's the SE that is exclusively equipped with Mitsubishi's AWC
system. The engine is a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder MIVEC unit that makes 168 horsepower and 167
lb-ft. of torque. The CVT transmission helps the Lancer SE net 22 MPG in
the city and 29 MPG on the highway. The All-Wheel Control System can be set
to 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD Lock for the slipperiest of conditions.
The 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer SE is really built for the cold weather states
and besides the 4WD system the car comes with 2-level heated seats and
heated side mirrors. The interior is only available in black cloth. There
is an additional All-Weather package for $685 that adds a Remote Engine
Starter, All Weather Floor Mats, and Rear Mudguards. The test car seen here
was also equipped with the $1450 Premium Package consisting of a leather
wrapped steering wheel, upgraded dash, a sunroof, and a 700 Watt
Rockford/Fosgate sound system. The 10 year/100k mile warranty is the best
in the business.
