132412 / 1987 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/7sahpdq Before you look at the mileage on this car, take a look at the photos. I mean study them, look at each one, and then guess how many miles this amazing 1987 Camaro IROC-Z has on it. Not one of you guessed over 87,000, but the truth is, this car is nicer than any other 3rd generation Camaro we've ever featured, including the one with only 6000 original miles. Owned and maintained by one of the guys who worked for NASCAR great Ricky Rudd, he truly knew how to take care of a Camaro. First of all, it's virtually impossible to keep a black car looking this good for 24 years, yet here it is, wearing 100% factory paint. There are no signs of accident damage, no touched-up dings, nothing but clean, freshly detailed, unblemished paint. This car was apparently never driven in the rain, and spent every night tucked into its own garage under a cover. The top motor in the Camaro's arsenal, the L98 350 cubic inch V8, lives under the hood of this IROC, and it runs perfectly. The engine bay is tidy and very OEM in appearance, with most of the components looking almost factory fresh. Everything works, including the A/C that blows ice cold, and amazingly, there have been no aftermarket modifications. The only transmission up to the L98's torque output was GM's rugged 4-speed automatic, and this one shows no signs of age. There's no slipping and it bangs off full-throttle upshifts and lightning-quick downshifts with authority. The suspension has been properly maintained, and there are recent brakes at all four corners. The Exhaust system certainly sounds authentic, and it's very possible that it is the original setup. Of course, there has never been any rust underneath, and the floors are every bit as solid as the rest of the body. Wheels are handsome 16-inch 5-spoke alloys wearing newer BFGoodrich g-force T/A radials, which is the original size. The condition of the gray cloth interior is nothing short of remarkable. There are no splits, tears, or frayed edges on the seats, and absolutely no stains or discoloration. The driver's door panel shows some light wear, and a stray thread or two, but that's it for interior issues. All the gauges work, including the unique L98 5500 RPM tachometer, and the A/C blows ice cold. Even the carpets and original carpeted floor mats are exceptionally good with virtually no signs of use, despite 24 years and 87,000 miles of use. Seriously, you should be blown away by how nice this car is. So forget about mileage having any bearing on a car's quality, at least in the case of this IROC. We haven't ever seen a nicer one, but we've seen a lot of lower-mileage cars that were definitely not as nice. It is loaded with options as well as the big engine, making it THE 3rd generation Camaro to own. If you're a fan, you know these are impossible to find in such spectacular condition without any modifications. Add in the documentation package and you have a car that is worth every penny of the asking price. Give us a call today!
