2013 Infiniti FX50 Test Drive & Luxury Crossover Video Review

http://www.autobytel.com/infiniti/fx50/2013/ The 2013 Infiniti FX50 is the top of the line when it comes to luxury crossovers from Japan. The FX50 and FX37 have been around for a number of years and these 2 vehicles are differentiated by their engines. The FX50 has a 5.0 liter V-8 engine making 390 horsepower while the FX37 is powered by a 3.7 liter V-6 making 325 horsepower. The 2013 Infiniti FX50 has a base price of $61,400. Another big element to these sporty luxury crossovers is the styling. The Infiniti FX has always had a love it or leave it presence due to its aggressive and bold exterior design. On the inside the FX50 has good functionality and utility. The cargo room is adequate and the rear lift gate is automatically controlled. The interior space in the rear may be a bit small but this vehicle is a crossover and not a large SUV. The interior features tons of luxury amenities. The seats are leather and the trim is a lovely maple wood. The technology on the Infiniti is cutting edge with tons of safety equipment like: around view monitor, distance control technology, and intelligent brake assist to name a few. The sound system is also a top notch BOSE unit. This is a high end luxury car and you will get treated like royalty by your Infiniti dealer. Driving the 2013 Infiniti FX50 is impressive. This luxury crossover can go from 0-60 MPH in a little over 5 seconds which is amazing. The steering is tight and the suspension firm which makes for a wonderfully agile vehicle. Formula Ford EcoBoost 1.0 Liter Street Legal Road Race Car @ SEMA
http://www.autobytel.com/ford Autobytel recently caught up with Michael Norton, the head of Ford Racing Europe, at the 2012 SEMA show to talk about Ford's Street Legal EcoBoost Formula Ford road car. Don't let the racecar look fool you, because this thing is street legal. As the Motorsports Manager for Ford, Mr. Norton has lots of inside knowledge on making blue ovals go fast, and he was more than happy to share some thoughts on the extremely efficient exercise in design. The Formula Ford EcoBoost Roadcar that was on display in Las Vegas has been fitted with a little 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine. The purpose of this is to show the performance and economy from a small 3-cylinder engine. Although this engine is not available here in the U.S. it is standard on many cars in the U.K. including the Fiesta, Focus, and C-Max. The 1.0 liter engine is part of a bigger EcoBoost engine family. This car was specially built for a Media Event at Germany's Nürburgring. A lap time of 7:22 was set by Formula Ford driver Nick Tandy which is the 11th fastest times to be seen around Nordschleife beating out Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and all sorts of cars. This goes to show the true potential of this small 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine. This Formula Ford car was specifically designed to be road legal. Ford Motorsports spent the whole summer working with the proper U.K. government so that the car would be SVA (single vehicle approval) legal. This car has everything need to pass including mud guards, lights, horn, handbrake, and other parts to make it road legal in the U.K. See More Car Videos http://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/ Join Our Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/autobytel

2013 SRT Viper WalkAround Sports Car Video Review w/ Mark Trostle MOPAR SEMA Show Car
http://www.autobytel.com Autobytel was recently invited to a special showing of Mopar's SEMA cars at the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo, CA where we were lucky enough to get Mark Trostle, Head of SRT, Viper, Mopar and Motorsports Design to give us a quick walkaround of the all new 2013 SRT Viper. Powered by a 640 HP 8.4 Liter V10 and weighing in at under 3500 lbs the all new Viper is a 200 MPH beast, and is even better when dressed up with a host of Mopar goodies like a carbon fiber X-Brace, high speed down force kit and bespoke racing harness to make it the all out track machine that Chrysler intended. Mark tells us: "When we set out to do the new Viper we really wanted to make sure it retained the iconic flavor and character of the original Viper. You look at a lot of cars in the industry, and many of them are not as recognizable as the Viper. The Jeep Wrangler though is an example of a vehicle that is very recognizable. We wanted to make sure we held true to its roots but we did want a more voluptuous flavor of the surfacing. We have also gone back to a full clamshell hood where the whole front of the car opens up. There is something kind of heroic about that and the proportions of the car and the car in general. It really is a great car. We focused on making everything on the vehicle functional and beautiful. The new Viper has a top speed of over 200 MPH so you can image we spent a lot of time in the wind tunnel refining the surfaces. Up front there is something called an air curtain which is an inlet in the front bumper that is open to the wheelhouse inner which helps with both down force and brake cooling. On the hood, every little flick in front of each vent helps control air so that the car actually Exhausts the hot air out of the engine bay. The hood scoop feeds fresh cool air into the intake box. Everything is functional including the blisters on the roof which give the driver and passenger enough headroom to wear a helmet. One of the other iconic parts of the Viper is what we call the gill. That is an identifier of Viper that we have had since the 1992 model. Obviously the shape has been evolved but this is still one of the great Viper cues." "The 640 horsepower V-10 Engine puts out 600 lb-ft. of torque making is a blast to drive. The Viper now has launch control and traction control which lets the customers use all the potential of the engine to its fullest. Mopar had a hand in some of the accessories on the SRT Viper including an X-Brace that is made entirely from carbon and weights half of what the stock aluminum piece weights. The X-Brace helps control the chassis flex on the body making the car handle that much better on the racetrack. We have developed aluminum and carbon fiber valve covers and aluminum oil fill cap. If you notice even all the logos are decals instead of a hard badge in an effort to remove weight. The heroic clamshell hood is great for being able to show off the engine." "Moving to the rear of the car, the Mopar carbon fiber wing is another piece that has been developed to increase down force alongside the front splitter. This full carbon fiber piece can generate 300 lbs. of down force at 150 MPH. or 500 lbs. at top speed. It's a beautiful and functional piece. On the inside, we have developed with Mopar aluminum and carbon shift knob, racing harness, seat set, and carbon fiber satchel with a GoPro camera mount since a lot of customers like to take their cars to the track. Scion Racing FR-S Tuner Challenge Cars @ SEMA w/ Ken Gushi
http://www.autobytel.com/new-cars/scion/ Autobytel caught up with Scion Racing driver/drifter Ken Gushi at the 2012 SEMA show for a little inside look at the Scion display. Not only did Scion win the hottest sport compact car award at SEMA, but Scion played host to a select group of the front engine rear drive tuner cars competing in the Scion Tuner Challenge. This is a huge testament to the brand and especially to the popularity of the Scion FR-S car. The Tuner Challenge cars all came out great and each builder had their own ideas and tastes that were applied to the individual cars. The Carbon Stealth FR-S, FR-S GT and minty FReSh have quickly become crowd favorites. But it's the bold bodied race inspired FR-S GT and Evasive Motorsport versions that catch Ken's eye. 2012 Land Rover LR4 Test Drive & SUV Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/land-rover/lr4/2012/ Land Rover makes some of the most capable off-road vehicles in the world. In fact the Land Rover has been navigating the toughest terrain for decades. So can the 2012 Land Rover LR4 adapt to suburban life? Well the Land Rover LR4 is very comfortable, it is easy to drive, has plenty of power, and can seat up to 7 passengers. The base price on the 2012 Land Rover LR4 is $48,900 with the top of the line HSE LUX model going for $58,995. The 2012 Land Rover LR4 is powered by a 5.0 liter V-8 direct injected engine that produces 375 horsepower and 375 lb-ft. of torque. Power is transferred to the wheels through a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission. The Land Rover LR4 sports full time AWD. Fuel economy is 12 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway. The AWD system is pretty technologically advanced which is why Land Rover SUVs are considered the best off-road vehicles the world over. The LR4 features Hill Descent Control which allows the vehicle to navigate steep terrain without the driver needing to use the brake or accelerator. The Gradient Release Control also works with the HDC to provide a smooth pace downhill. The Electronic Traction Control supplies power to the wheel that needs it most in the even of slippage. At each corner of the SUV there is a sophisticated air suspension. This is used to either lower the LR4 for street use or to raise the SUV almost 5 inches for maximum ground clearance while off-road. Dynamic Stability Control improves the LR4's handing while on the road. Tall SUVs are known to roll over but the Roll Stability Control System works to keep all 4 wheels on the road. The 2012 Land Rover LR4 has a towing capacity of 7,700 lbs. To help prevent trailer sway the LR4 has something called Trailer Stability Assist to help correct any towing problems. Besides the great off-road capabilities the 2012 Land Rover LR4 comes packed with tons of luxury features and option on the inside. The seats are wrapped in high-end leather as are many of the interior surfaces. You can choose between a Walnut trim or a Black Lacquer trim. The driver sits in an optimum position so that they have a commanding view of the road. The huge sunroof is called the Alpine Roof and provides tons of light to all the passengers. A 7-inch touch screen navigation unit and Harmon/Kardon stereo system are wonderful features. The 2012 Land Rover LR4 love to hit the trail and take on tough off-road challenges. But this SUV is more than capable being your daily luxury SUV driver. See More Car Videos http://www.autobytel.com/car-videos/ Join Our Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/autobytel

A taller and more practical Infiniti G takes the form of this FX35. If you are in need of more space and refuse to give up the raw power and brutality of your G, take a serious look at this vehicle. Those seeking more space, refinement, and practically should probably look elsewhere.
