2013 Chevrolet Camaro SS 1LE Performance Package Muscle Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/chevrolet/Camaro/2013/1ss-coupe/ Autobytel recently caught up with the Chevrolet Camaro Chief Engineer, Al Oppenheiser, at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, Michigan for a look at the track focused muscle machine. The 1LE Camaro is new for 2013 and upgrades the Camaro SS V-8 with a $3500 option package that consists of a bunch of upgraded parts from the more powerful ZL-1. The 2013 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE is is for those pony car owners that will let their Camaro run loose on the track; and want to drive the car to the limit.
Starting with the exterior, the first thing you notice is the flat black hood which looks great against the Rally Yellow paint scheme. The wheels are upgraded to a set of ZL1 Low-Gloss Black 10-Spoke Aluminum rims size 20-inch wrapped in 285/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle Supercar Generation 2 performance summer tires. The calipers are now painted red. The other exterior changes you see on the Camaro 1LE Performance Package are a front splitter and rear spoiler. The goal of these aero parts is to help with grip on the track.
The manual transmission is a TREMEC 6-speed with a close-ratio gearbox and a 3.91 final-drive axle ratio. The 5.1/1 short throw shifter decrease time between gear changes. The suede shift knob and suede steering wheel are the same ones found on the ZL1 model.
The Chevy Camaro 1LE was designed to compete and beat the Ford Mustang Boss 302 which cost over $10k more. You can get into this car for around $37k which is a great price for the amount of performance.

2013 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Test Drive & Sports Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/Mustang/2013/ The 2013 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT continues the heritage of the pony car in a big way. The base Mustang comes with a powerful V-6 engine while the GT gets the venerable 5.0 liter V-8 engine. The Mustang is a no non-sense muscle car that combines everything from the old iconic car and combines it with modern technology. The result is a great performing sports car that pays homage to the Mustangs of year gone by. The 2013 Ford Mustang base V-6 costs $22,200 while the 5.0 GT Coupe starts at $30,300.
The 2013 Mustang GT is powered by a 5.0 liter V-8 engine that makes 412 horsepower and 390 lb-ft. of torque. The engine features a high 11:1 compression ratio, Coil on Plug ignition, and variable camshaft timing. Transmission choices are either a six-speed manual or a six-speed SelectShift automatic. Fuel economy figures are 15 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway.
The 2013 Ford Mustang features a new front end that looks similar to the Shelby GT500 with its aggressive front bumper and splitter that adds downforce. The hood features functional heat extractors. The wheels are 18-inch painted aluminum pieces. Out back the taillights have LEDs integrated in them which really pop at night. On the inside the 2013 Ford Mustang GT also revisits some former glory with a big dose of modern technology. Retro meets cool thanks to the stylish gauges and the double dip dash. The Recaro seats hint at the true sports car heritage underneath. These seats are comfortable and very supportive. The aluminum accents give the Mustang some flair while the interior lighting can be adjusted to fit your mood. The Shaker Audio System includes a few subwoofers.
The 2013 Ford Mustang GT is a car you can have a blast in. No longer is the Mustang a straight-line Muscle car, instead it has morphed into a true sports car with a very affordable price tag. You can order the 2013 Ford Mustang as a coupe or a convertible. There is a great variety of extras, options, and packages to make your Mustang stand out from the crowd.

2012 Dodge Challenger R/T Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/dodge/challenger/2012/ The 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T is one good looking automobile and this muscle car exudes a road presence unmatched by the Mustang or Camaro. Outside the Challenger has remained true to its heritage with nice broad shoulders and retro front end. The Challenger R/T has a base price of just under $30k but offers the best deal of the bunch. The base V-6 model costs $25k ($5k less) but with the R/T model you get the 5.7 HEMI V-8 engine that produces 410 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque. The Challenger SRT-8 is almost $14k more than the R/T. The 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T gets 15 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway but you do not buy a muscle car for its gas mileage. The Challenger is built on the Chrysler 300 chassis which is why it has the most comfortable ride of all the new muscle cars that are currently for sale.

Ford Taurus vs Chrysler 300S Car Video Review and Comparison
http://www.autobytel.com/new-cars/sedans/ It is safe to say that full size American sedans are back and better than ever. We have 2 examples here: the Ford Taurus and the Chrysler 300. The Taurus SEL has a base price of $27,775 with leather and the red paint brings the total up to around $30k. The Chrysler 300S has a price of $33,670.
The Ford Taurus is a huge leap forward in terms of styling as compared to the models from the past. But the Chrysler 300 does indeed look better than this new Taurus. And it is not just the exterior, on the inside the 300 seems to be a few years ahead of the Taurus. Inside the Chrysler: the gauges are brighter, the materials feel better, and the seats are better. Chrysler really stepped it up with this car; it's a huge leap forward over the car it replaces.
The Chrysler 300 is a RWD car compared to the Taurus which is FWD. The transmission on the 300 is an 8-speed automatic compared to the Taurus' 6-speed. Engine wise the cars are very similar. The Ford Taurus SEL is powered by a 3.5 liter V-6 that makes 263 horsepower and 249 lb-ft. of torque. The Chrysler 300S is powered by a 3.6 liter V-6 that makes 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. of torque. The Taurus manages 18 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway and the 300 manages 19 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. Again the Chrysler 300S has an advantage here thanks to the transmission.
The Ford Taurus is a good car and there is really nothing wrong with it. But the Chrysler 300S is great car.

2013 Chevy Camaro 1LE
The 1LE package adds performance upgrades to the already track-ready Camaro SS. Most obvious is its matte black hood, matching spoiler and 20-inch wheels. In terms of powertrain, the 426-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8 engine carries over from the SS but the 1LE adds a new short-throw shifter for the six-speed manual. Cars.com reviewer Joe Wiesenfelder flung it around the track at the Roebling Road Raceway just outside of Savannah, Ga.
2012 Chevrolet Camaro SS Review, Walkaround, Exhaust, Test Drive
As if we got a hold of bumblebee himself, the current generation Camaro is quite a giant leap forward for the brand versus the previous generation. Offering better ride and handling over the Ford Mustang, we think the Camaro could be a winner if Chevy reduced the weight and addressed the visibility issues.
2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1 vs. Mark Stielow's Red Devil '69 Camaro - HOT ROD Unlimited Episode 13
On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited, David Freiburger meets up with Pro Touring legend Mark Stielow to compare old and new Camaros head to head. Mark Stielow is a GM engineer with a long history of building vintage, street-worthy Camaros with amazing handling prowess. His latest is the Red Devil, a '69 model powered by a 427ci, supercharged LS9 that tops 750 hp and 800 lb-ft. It runs a six-speed trans and complete suspension from Detroit Speed, and has won a number of shootouts with similarly built Pro Touring cars. But can his modified muscle car outrun the technology of the Magnetic Ride suspension on the new, 580hp, 2012 Camaro ZL1? We head to GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, Michigan to find out.
