finish with absolutely no colour fade. There is no corrosion or rust and
the vehicle is structurally perfect. Small areas where paint work has been
treated with a touch up brush, mainly on the front valance, however, there
has been no attempt to fill or spray the car in these areas confirming the
cars honesty and originality. The engine bay has been regularly coated in
WD40 by the previous owner helping to preserve all inner wings. The car is
still fitted with the supplying Dealer number plates. The rear lower
valance protection has discoloured. The original tools, jack and spare

Incredible. A true 1970's interior finished in unmarked Beige Ribbed
velour cloth trim, preserved perfectly by tailor-made matching seat covers
on the front seats from new (these have now been removed). All the trim is
factory standard and fully operational controls and gauges make this
interior remarkable. As a final run-out model these late GL specification
vehicles were fitted with GLS refinements making this interior very plush.
The two tone tan over black dashboard remains free from scuffs and cracks.
The heater fan is not working and the headlining around the 'C' pillars is
slightly discoloured. A perfect, comfortable cruising classic.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Being the more powerful '2000' engine unit the 1979cc OHC 4-cylinder
produces 100bhp and 113lb/ft of torque enough to make long outings a joy
and comfortable. A full complement of service invoices exist from new
leaving no doubt this car has been meticulously maintained. The 4-speed
all synchromesh gearbox is light and precise.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES.
Unblemished Rostyle sport wheels with excellent 185/70SR radials and chrome
bezel trims. The bezels are showing signs of pitting and would benefit
from being renewed at some point. Dual circuit, servo assisted braking
system, incorporating discs at the front and rear drums are positive.

Top Gear Reviews the MK2 Cavalier (1981)
Top gear review the early spec launch cavalier GLS 1600. It's worth noting
that this was before the fuel injection and the rest of the range was
launched. These car's were the first of three revisions that Vauxhall
performed on the model throughout the 1980's.
This video was very hard to come by!
MK2 Astra Launch Promotional Advert
Always liked Vauxhall's presentation in the 1980's. some where between the
tone of a public service announcement and a Sci_fi flick. Was a fantastic
decade for Vauxhall which put them back on track financially.
Peugeot 305 Advert Late 70s
Peugeot 305 car advert from the late 1970's, I'm guessing the advert dates
from around the 305's launch in 1977. Classic retro disco soundtrack....as
the cheesy song says 'it's the Peugeot!'.
Vauxhall SRV Concept 1970
Took a trip to the Vauxhall Heritage Centre today to film a Mk1 Cavalier.
However, my attention was drawn to the absolutely stunning Vauxhall SRV
Concept. Can't believe this one-off show car from 1970 resides in Luton!
Vauxhall Chevette Original TV Advert [Opel Kadett]
I couldn't resist not posting this, even if it just illustrates just how
far cars, (and their advertising) have come in the past 25+ years. By
comparison the 1980's cars that followed were positively space age in
