Bobby's '55 Ford Crown Vic -- project or parts
Our friend Bobby owns a '55 Ford Crown Victoria that at one time he had planned on restoring. He has decided the project would require more work than he is prepared to undertake, however, so he is selling this car. It could be used for parts or potentially could be restored. He had removed the engine and transmission, and the engine (312 V8) would need rebuilt.

1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria Classic Muscle Car for Sale in MI Vanguard Motor Sales
MOTOR SIZE CORRECTION Any time we get stunning 50's era Detroit metal into our Vanguard Motor Sales showroom, it tends to attract a lot of attention and usually doesn't stick around very long. This 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown has been painstakingly restored to its top of the Ford line status. It's the perfect car for anyone who wants an exceptionally well done restoration for half the price of doing it themselves. This car takes everything that was great about the first generation Fairlane and wraps it in outstanding workmanship. From top to bottom, the body of this car is as straight as when it rolled out of the factory. Dressed in two-tone red and white, the cars paint features an excellent shine with no major flaws or damage. The red and white color scheme gives the car a classic feeling. Panel gaps are just how you would expect, the door lips and jambs are clean and rust free. We were stunned by the quality of the stainless trim on this car, it is truly exceptional. Both the front and rear chrome bumpers are beautiful as well. A hood mounted Ford emblem and "Fairlane" script are centered on the hood and line up perfectly with the hood ornament. The now famous 'Fairlane strip' flows down the side of the car, and the great looking Ford emblems with "Crown Victoria" badges are centered on each door. Ahead of the front fender openings, V8 emblems announce the presence of a Ford Y block. The Crown Victoria exclusive chrome 'basket handle' roof piece and stainless window trim is in truly awesome condition. On the right side of the trunk a "Ford-O-Matic" script announces the presence of a hydraulic transmission. As the body tag reads, this Fairlane is a top of the line car that features an excellent running correct 312 Y-block V8. You can see the "Thunderbird" polished valve covers, aluminum intake, custom made ceramic powder coated headers by Red's Headers, an Edelbrock carb and the gorgeous air cleaner. The heater blower motor and duct work have been restored. In front of the engine the generator and cooling fan sit right behind a correct gloss black radiator. Power steering and power front disc brakes are also included. The frame and underside of the car are solid! There have been a few repairs to the floor boards and rocker on the driver side, but the passenger side has been untouched. Any repairs that were done, were done beautifully. The original rear end is present along with 2 inch lowering blocks. The 2 inch aluminum dual Exhaust and Smithy mufflers sound awesome. Behind the oil pan sits the hydraulic Ford -O-Matic 2-speed transmission. The rear drum brakes appear to be in excellent condition. Inside this classy and comfortable interior, the two tone seats have been excellently done. A new headliner is tight across the roof and features the bottom side of the Crown Victoria 'basket handle'. In front of you, a perfectly restored dash houses the speedometer, fuel and temperature gauges, warning lights and a gear selector window. In the center of the dash you'll find a clock, and a unique AM radio. Updates include a 1956 Ford steering column and the steering wheel, complete with chrome horn ring. The restored trunk features a new mat. This is an exceptionally clean '55 Fairlane that has been restored to a high level of detail and carefully maintained. If you wanted to restore a car to this level on your own, you'd be well into the 6 figure range and probably sink years into the project. Beautiful, solid, well done cars like this don't come along too often and given the attention it draws in our showroom, I expect it to be rolling out the door before too long. Pismo Beach Cruise (3 OF 5) Classic Car Show - 21JUNE09
The Official Classic at Pismo Beach Cruise, the day before Father's Day 2009. (3 of 5) This video is for my dad, and all the dads who wanted to go to this show, but couldn't because they're unable to walk & stand like the old days. It's hell getting old and nothing lasts forever. Thank you GM & Chrysler for making some incredible machines, and works of art over an amazing time in history my dad lived through. And these cars! Just like my pops, theyll never be anything like em... The Pismo Beach Classic is one of the largest classic car and street rod shows on the West Coast and 'one of the finest.' Pismo Beach, California, is the host city for this classic car show, now in its 24th year. This show, held annually on the 3rd full weekend of June, pulls in 1000 classic cars and street rods and over 125,000 spectators over three days. GENERAL MOTORS General Motors (GM) was founded on September 27, 1908, in Flint, Michigan, as a holding company for Buick, then controlled by William C. Durant. It acquired Oldsmobile later that year. In 1909, Durant brought in Cadillac, Elmore, Oakland (later known as Pontiac) and several others. Also in 1909, General Motors acquired the Reliance Motor Truck Company of Owosso, Michigan, and the Rapid Motor Vehicle Company of Pontiac, Michigan, the predecessors of GMC Truck. Durant lost control of GM in 1910 to a bankers' trust, because of the large amount of debt taken on in its acquisitions coupled with a collapse in new vehicle sales. A few years later, Durant started the Chevrolet Motor car company and through this he secretly purchased a controlling interest in GM. Durant took back control of the company after one of the most dramatic proxy wars in American business history. Shortly after, he again lost control, this time for good, after the new vehicle market collapsed. Alfred Sloan was picked to take charge of the corporation and led it to its post war global dominance. This unprecedented growth of GM would last into the early 1980s when it employed 349,000 workers and 150 assembly plants. CHRYSLER Chrysler was founded by Walter P. Chrysler on June 6, 1925. The Chrysler was a 6-cylinder automobile, designed to provide customers with an advanced, well-engineered car, but at a more affordable price than they might expect. (Elements of this car are traceable back to a prototype which had been under development at Willys at the time that Walter Chrysler was there).[18] The original 1924 Chrysler included a carburetor air filter, high compression engine, full pressure lubrication, and an oil filter, at a time when most autos came without these features.[19] Among the innovations in its early years would be the first practical mass-produced four-wheel hydraulic brakes, a system nearly completely engineered by Chrysler with patents assigned to Lockheed, and rubber engine mounts to reduce vibration. The advanced engineering and testing that went into Chrysler Corporation cars helped to push the company to the second-place position in U.S. sales by 1936, a position it would last hold in 1949. FORD The Ford Motor Company was launched in a converted factory in 1903 with $28,000 in cash from twelve investors, most notably John and Horace Dodge (who would later found their own car company). Henry's first attempt under his name was the Henry Ford Company on November 3, 1901, which became the Cadillac Motor Company on August 22, 1902. During its early years, the company produced just a few cars a day at its factory on Mack Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. Groups of two or three men worked on each car from components made to order by other companies. Henry Ford was 40 years old when he founded the Ford Motor Company, which would go on to become one of the world's largest and most profitable companies, as well as being one to survive the Great Depression. As one of the largest family-controlled companies in the world, the Ford Motor Company has been in continuous family control for over 100 years.
