Definitive Z: The Limit and Legacy of the Datsun 240Z
John Williams is as hardcore a Datsun as a they come. A relative late-comer, he embraced the Z culture in the early 1980s. Since then he's used his skills as a machinist, and passion as an enthusiast, to produce his own parts for award-winning classics. Among the finest is his silver 240Z, a labor of love for a sports car that changed the West's perception of what the Japanese could do. Three generations later, the Nissan Z continues to define the Japan's sports car culture. Find out why. Nissan Project 370Z vs 1970 Datsun 240Z with RB26 Track Battle! - The Downshift Episode 54
Many months ago, Nissan asked their fans to help them create the ultimate 370Z track car. They called it Project 370Z. To put it to the test, Nissan fans were asked to vote for a challenger to compete against it. They chose a 1970 Datsun 240Z with an RB26 engine transplant built by Gordon MacSwain. On this episode of The Downshift, we head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for an epic David vs Goliath battle between these two amazing machines. Dare to Be Different in a Datsun 240Z
Owner Dave Scholz, shares his connection with a Japanese cult classic that could easily be regarded as the 911 of Japan. Its iconic beauty, modular mechanics, and desirability inspired Dave to heed to Datsun's famous racing campaign of the '70s, "Dare to be different." American heads spun when the 1970s ultimately snuffed out their beloved horsepower-drunk muscle cars. As the world watched them squirm for performance, Japan was busy developing the 240Z to bring a new thrill to American roads using balance, harmony, and technology. "Datsun didn't invent the overhead cam engine, or disc brakes, or independent suspension but it has a habit of incorporating these sophisticated systems into brilliantly conceived and easily affordable cars." Junkyard Turbo Swap! Chevy-Powered 1971 Datsun 240Z Autocross Thrash - Roadkill Ep. 26
What do you get when you cross a rusted 1971 Datsun 240Z with a Chevy 4.3L V6 and a turbo from a Ford Power Stroke Diesel? The Rotsun! During Roadkill Episode 25, Freiburger and Finnegan revived the Rotsun expecting it to dominate in the 9-car autocross showdown of previous Roadkill project cars. It also needed to beat a 2014 Kia Rio 5, but failed to do so with the Rotsun shamefully breaking down before completing a decent lap. So in this episode: revenge. After swapping in the mismatched turbo and making nearly 400 rear-wheel horsepower, the guys head to the autocross at the Goodguys 5th Spring Nationals in Scottsdale, Arizona and mingle with fans on their way to a rematch with that dastardly Kia. Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend Subscribe now to make sure you're in on all the action! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=motortrend Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/RoadkillShow, http://facebook.com/motortrendmag & http://facebook.com/hotrodmag Twitter - http://twitter.com/motortrend & https://twitter.com/hotrodmagazine Google+ - https://plus.google.com/1018679678590... Sounds of a Sleeper - Supercharged V6 Datsun 510
This 71 Datsun 510 has been highly modified for hillclimbs and autox competitions, and is very similar in appearance to the 510 recently featured on Jay Leno's garage. The 3.3L VG is a V6 pulled from a Nissan Pathfinder, and has been raised to well above 400 horsepower made possible by the Vortech Supercharger. This is the first known setup and installation into a Datsun 510, and has been proven over years of racing. The 2in Exhaust front-to-back gives it a great sound, and is one of the few clues into this sleeper since there is no Intercooler. The Subaru limited slip differential helps keep it in line up when peeling out into 4th gear. Enjoy the sound!

#HawaiianPunch: 1972 Datsun 510 SR20 For Sale in San Diego
---- Price, Pics, Specs, and to Contact Owner go to http://CarHunters.tv ---- ---- Bonus Video http://youtu.be/qsKo-bXLcZs ---- Its been a little over a week since we featured this 510 and I honestly miss it. This 72 Datsun 510 SR20DET for sale was built with so much style and care, I can’t think of a better one. Thank you to the owner Raul for letting us film your car before you sell it. Filming this 510 was an interesting story as well. As Luke and I were scouting spots near Raul’s house, we stumbled upon the actual US Nissan Design center. This is the place where they designed the 370z and the Idx (the new 510). What luck! The employees there were so awesome to let us shoot some footage at there loading dock and main entrance. Over the 2 hours we were there, a lot of them came out to see Raul’s car. It was pretty cool to see how much they all admired the styling of this car. I guess they we’re paying respect to their elder ;) What I loved about this SR20 510 was how it was such reliable daily driver. While it looks like a showcar/racecar Raul comfortably drives it everyday. He drove me around in it a little and I just couldn’t stop smiling. Being such a lightweight car, the power is strong and the turbo is consistent. Oh and that sound, the SR20 screams if you want it to but it remains humble at low speeds. I’ll be honest, this car isn’t for everyone. It’s only for those who “get it”. It’s for those who know what this car stands for and is about. Words don’t really explain it, it’s just the feeling you get when see it and experience it. The next owner of this car is going to be very happy. --Grayson Barbou Filmed and edited by Luke McGlynn Music from http://www.bensound.com

Datsun Go+ Test Drive Review - Autoportal
http://autoportal.com/newcars/datsun/go-mpv/ Think of the Datsun Go+ as a roomy hatchback with two extra seats for greater practicality rather than a compact MPV. It's easy to drive, spacious and affordable as well. Here is our review of this sensible if not sensational car.
