1971 Buick GS Sport Wagon: Stock #46 at our Tampa showroom
Up for sale is a 1971 Buick Sport Wagon. The General Motors Buick Sport Wagon for sale was a mid-size station wagon and a corporate sister of the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser. Featuring a raised roof and skylights over the cargo and second seat area, this model was an extended wheelbase version of the Buick Skylark station wagon. Buick Sport Wagons were built in three generations, spanning 1964--67, 1968--69, and 1970--72. This particular Sport Wagon for sale came with a few extra features to put the "Sport" back in Sport Wagon. First on the list for this Wagon for sale is the 350 CID V8 with the 4 barrel carburetor. That potent power plant was mated to a 3 speed column shift automatic and tying it all together is Posi 8.2 rear end. Then all that was set on an heavy duty chassis that include the Gran Sport ultra large sway bars, larger disk brakes in the front and heavy duty larger drums in the rear. The Gran Sport for sale is outfitted in Spruce WinterGreen with the matte black banner on the hood and tailgate. A Factory '71 Gran Sport grill was installed on this green machine along with, GS badging, and Buick rally wheels. Options on this Buick for sale include Seat Belts, Vinyl seats, AM/FM Radio, A/C, Heat, Power brakes, and Power steering. 1966 VW Baja Bug stock # 658 located in our Louisville Ky Showroom
This 1966 Volkswagen Baja Bug is located in our Louisville KY showroom. Baja Bugs originated in Southern California in the late 1960s as an inexpensive answer to the successful Volkswagen-based dune buggies of the mid-1960s. The building of the first Baja Bug is generally credited to Gary Emory of Parts Obsolete circa 1968. The first fiberglass Baja kit (bug eye kit) was not introduced until 1969 by the Miller-Havens company. In the early days before fiberglass body panels became available, enthusiast and racers simply made their own modifications to both the body and mechanicals of a stock VW to develop a machine suited to harsh, off-road environments. The metal fenders and front and rear aprons of the car would be partially cut away to allow more for ground clearance and suspension travel. This particular bug is a great example of a "Baja Bug". It is powered by air cooled 1300cc motor that sounds really strong. In order to get the maximum performance and longevity out of that power-plant an oil-cooler has been added. The big snorkel on the roof houses the Intercooler giving this bug an all business look. The interior has been removed to save weight and increase performance with nothing left but 2 racing seats. What use to be a backseat has been removed and refitted with diamond-plate keeping the all business theme going. The 4 speed transmission is sure to keep the drives fun and complete in the Baja approach. This 1966 Volkswagen Baja Bug can be seen, including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com or call at 812-294-1555 for more information. Want to connect with us? The Original Sting Ray - /BIG MUSCLE
Owner: • BRIAN HOBAUGH When did you first realize that you loved cars? Maybe it was the time you caught a glimpse of a Ferrari as you were sitting in the back of your parents minivan. Or maybe it happened after watching your older brother do a burnout in his rusted out Camaro. For owner Brian Hobaugh, his love of cars started thanks to his Dad and a certain 1965 Chevrolet Corvette that's been in their family for over 30 years.

1951 Nash Ambassador Four Door Sedan Blu Inverness032214
This is the third year for the "bathtub-like" style..but at the time, it was seen as the epitome of streamlining. The wheels were barely visible in an attempt to decrease air turbulence. Nash was famous for its reclining seats in a day when seats had very little adjustability. One could even sleep in the car, as illustrated by that mattress on the passenger side and the screening on the back windows...suitable for camping. Family friends had a 1949 version of this car..they were retired and took lots of trips..it was a comfortable car for touring. Notice the "swamp cooler". About a gallon of water was loaded inside it and the dry air rushing over it was cooled and directed into the car. Evaporation cools, as demonstrated by the usefulness of sweat in cooling our bodies. These coolers were only useful in very dry climates..indeed they were used to cool buildings before the wider availability of A/C.

Using a pair of 2 1/2 inch springs that I got from a hardware store, I added them to the mechanism that opens the trunk to allow it to open all the way instead of the stock 3-4 inches.
