1999 Chevy Tahoe 5.7L V8 fuel pressure regulator.mp4
Finding the fuel pressure regulator on a 1999 Chevy Tahoe 5.7L V-8. Under
the plastic intake manifold. Would crank but not start, would only start
with starter fluid and then would remain running, but once shut off, it
wouldn't start again without starter fluid. The fuel pressure regulator
wasn't even in my repair manual. Couldn't find any info online. I hope
this helps those with similar issues. When lifting the manifold, you only
have to lift the left side (pasenger side) as you face the vehicle. This
way you don't have to remove everything. I put it all back together and it
starts up like new. I did check my fuel pressure before digging this
regulator out. I was sitting about 55-60lbs.

2007 Chevy Tahoe Strange Problem
This is a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ with about 35,000 miles. The car hasn't had
any problems (at least not dramatic) in the past. It starts just fine
except its battery has failed more than I've wanted it to requiring us to
jump start it a lot. Ever since I don't know when this has been
happening... when the car is in the ON position (without it being started),
you start to hear this LOUD, strange chirping / grinding noise coming from
the rear of the car. It only happens the first time you put it on ON until
you turn it off and it only happens when the car is on the ON position
before cranking the car to start it. I don't think this has ever happened
with the car started. If it has, I must have not heard it but this seems
hard to miss.
Does any one know what this could be? Thanks!
How to diagnose a bad starter, ignition, neutral safety switch!
The re are 3 wires or electrodes on all starters. One is the large bolt
that is attached to the main positive battery cable. One is the small wire
that is sometimes purple that is attached to the ignition switch "key". And
one is just a copper wire or electrode that supplies a ground/power to the
starter from the solenoid.
