Red Bull Racing's American Vacation
Red Bull Racing's Show Car recently completed a second All-American adventure. Driven by David Coulthard, the 2011 Championship-winning RB7 toured Liberty State Park and its spectacular views of the New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The RB7 then moved on to one of the main arteries linking New York and New Jersey - the Lincoln Tunnel. Wrapping up its American vacation, the RB7 became the first Formula One car to lay rubber on the Grand Prix of America streets in West New York and Weehawken, New Jersey, bringing residents out of their homes to catch the historic sight. The car, a 10 cylinder, Cosworth-powered STR1, was fitted with a one-of-a-kind set of Bridgestone Potenza F1 snow tyres and featured 420 tungsten studs on each of the front and 588 studs on each of the rear tires, each one embedded in an aluminium casing. http://redbullracing.com
Transforming Formula One: 2014 Rules Explained (Full Version)
A new clip from Red Bull sees Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel explain the 2014 Formula One regulations -- which are arguably the most complex the sport has ever seen. At the start, thousands of car parts simultaneously assemble around Dan to form the RB10. As Dan races to catch up Seb in his RB9, the World Champion's car becomes transparent while travelling at full speed. The film then presents a visual sequence that shows the 2014 regulation changes taking shape and coming to life, as Seb's car transforms from an RB9 into an RB10. As well as providing information on the new technical changes for 2014, the clip also presents a unique view of the technology at work inside this year's Formula One cars.
F1 Car vs F/A-18 Hornet (Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo Feels The Force)
Daniel Ricciardo compares his incredible day job to that of a Royal Australian Air Force Pilot with a runaround at a regional Air Force Base in Australia. Daniel and F/A-18 Hornet pilot, FLTLT Michael Keightley got the adrenaline pumping with an occupation comparison of larger-than-life proportions. It can be argued that both have two of the best careers in the world. Although they have different crafts, they push themselves beyond what's possible on a daily basis. #GivesYouWings
