HR Holden rust repairs
A Short Video of Matts HR Holden Premier Build. This is part of the rust
repairs on the drivers side sill. This is the way we tackled the repair and
treatment of the bare metal on the inside of the sill once welded into
place .Its a back yard build and some of our techniques are amature. im
a bit sick of the rust :) repairs but in the long run it will pay off to
do it properly. A camera ,a video and a small sport camera strapped to my
head were used to take the footage. Dates are wrong take no notice of them.

Mazda 3 MPS, Eastern Creek Track Day

Ambient Air Temp cool @ around 15 degrees.
This was my first time taking this car on the track and my first time on
Eastern Creek so I was more focused on learning the racing line than
setting lap times. Lap times mostly fell between 2:01-2:04. I was hoping to
come in under 2 minutes at least once but it doesn't seem that way. I blame
the understeer from the front wheel drive....380Nm at the front wheels?
Some photos and video highlights and then finish off the video with my last
lap around the track before the session finished. Enjoy.
EV electric Radical lap record, Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek, John Bowe
John Bowe sets the first and fastest lap record around Sydney Motorsport
Park, June 14, 2013, in a Radical ELMOFO (Electric Motor Force) EV. Lap
time was 1m:37.5sec, with a top speed of 228km/h.
As a comparison, an SR3 lap record is a 1m:28sec time, and 225km/h. JB was
taking it very cautiously and given only two laps - his first in a Radical.
Designed and constructed by Sydney-based businessman Brett Sutherland, the
Electric Radical features dual electric motors and more than 400bhp (300kw)
of power and 600nm of torque from 0-5000RPM. Combined motor power at full
current is 1550amps (peak).
The car is based on a Radical SR8 RX chassis and weighs approximately
The vehicle is powered by liquid-cooled Lithium battery modules
specifically designed for the car. The batteries are charged by a solar
powered fast-charging system. The truck will house a secondary battery pack
which is progressively charged by solar modules on the truck roof and the
Radical will be fast-charged by dumping power from the secondary pack into
the vehicle pack.
