This beautifully restored Nova will be at Barrett-Jackson on Sunday, January 22, 2012 - LOT 1540; Show/Driver level We are proud to offer this stunning triple black Chevy Nova SS that has California black plates, many performance upgrades performed to the engine, a new suspension and 1" diameter sway bars (front and rear). Factory front disc brakes power assisted. This Nova has had its engine upgraded to a 327 V8 Sport engine with Hurst 4 on the floor manual creating 350 horsepower. Striking beauty has been achieved by being professionally, and meticulously, restored by the previous owner. No expense was spared in this correct and proper restoration, done to high standards. Every component has been rebuilt, or replaced. The quality shows in his craftsmanship.. Perfection was his goal in restoring this original Chevy Nova. It is a superb example. The restoration of this vehicle to a Show/Driver level included the following: The vehicle was fully disassembled, painted, color sanded and buffed to perfection. New rubber, seals, grommets and gaskets, trim and bright work replaced or re-plated. The interior was redone with rich black period vinyl, to showcase its inner beauty including padding, carpet, panels, dash and seats all custom fitted and upholstered. The engine was re-built to factory specifications matching and calibrated with new pistons, oil pump, timing chain, bearings, valves, guides, seals, head completely rebuilt, rebuilt carburetors, clutch system, all new hydraulic system, restored shocks, the chassis and many other parts refinished in its correct finish, new suspension bushings, new wire harness installed, all electrical components, gauges, knobs, switches rebuilt, rescreened or replaced, and seat frames restored, new Exhaust system. A great deal of time was spent on detail and quality throughout the restoration process. With the SS package, the upgrades are plentiful: such as bucket seats, center console, upgraded instruments, and rally sport wheels. This black beauty has AC that blows cold (the under dash unit is period in appearance with modern functionality), Delco radio that has been converted to digital with an IPod jack and upgraded speakers installed. There are two outside correct rearview mirrors, new glass, SS carpet mats, trunk mat, Fisher style seat belts, includes jack and crow bar, and comes with an owner's manual. This spectacular example is sure to please any Nova enthusiast or collector.
