535hp @ 4000rpm
For those of you paying attention and noticed the numbers aren't the same
on the screenshot, its because we made another few runs, but didn't tape
them. We'll upload a pic soon.

Sehr Performance Machine / Randi's 400 Pontiac
Randi came to us with a 400 Pontiac project for his 1968 Firebird. He
didn't want to go crazy on the build but he wanted something that would
give him performance that is better than original.
With that goal in mind Scott did some custom porting on his heads, upgraded
his valve train and went with a Custom COMP cam and lifters and aluminum
roller rockers. We maintained his complete original rotating assembly but
had to re-balance his crankshaft, it had been poorly balanced sometime in
the past and was out by 127 grams on one end and 181 grams on the other. A
single plane intake with a 780 Quick Fuel carb got it breathing and the
fire is lit with a Flamethrower ignition package. Custom cut and fitted
8mm plug wires are standard equipment here at Sehr. Headman custom coated
headers will be added at installation time.
The results were a satisfying 543.5 Hp @ 5500rpm and torque reading of
519.8 @ 5400rpm. Corrected to sea level the numbers are 577 Hp and 551 Tq
with nearly 400 lb of torque at 3500rpm.

Jaguar e type first start up
The first start-up of the rebuilt engine in my 1964 3.8 E type coupe.
The car was the proverbial "barn find"; it had lain, completely dismantled
in a leaky shed from the late eighties until I acquired her in May 2007.
It has taken the best part of 2000 hours to get to this stage, and only a
little bit more in sterling
The engine was turned over on the starter with the plugs removed to get oil
pressure up before any attempt was made to start it.
As you can hear, the idle screws were adjusted too far down, and when she
first fired I nearly soiled my overalls (with something other than oil) as
I didnt expect it to rev up so quickly, which is why I shut her off asap!
The old girl certainly seemed keen to live again after spending 20 years in
a coma. The idle screws were backed off for the next attempt, and after
gingerly adding more choke she starts up and settles into a remarkably
smooth fast tick-over.
The whirring noise in the background, by the way, is the fully immersed
fuel pump; pretty advanced for the early sixties, that was later changed
for a more conventional external pump on the 4.2.
Pontiac Banshee A Longer Look
The Banshee was a vision for what the Firebird could become. Of course,
this concept car could never be built exactly, too low on the road and it
wouldn't pass the safety and crash tests, but it was exciting. It
demonstrated that the problem with GM cars didn't sit on the designers'
shoulders. They were more than capable of dreaming up engaging and fun
vehicles that would set imaginations on fire.
