2013 Porsche 911 Club Coupe

Porsche built its first model back in 1948 and the first Porsche Club arrived four years later. Today the company is celebrating "60 years of Porsche Clubs" with the unveiling of the special edition Porsche 911 Club Coupe. The model is based on the 911 Carrera S and will be limited to only 13 units. Prices for the US market start at $175.580. This special edition comes offered in a very special "Brewster Green" exterior paint combined with trim strips in a high gloss finish. The model will be offered with a standard Sport Design Package that includes a distinctive front with front spoiler and a rear spoiler derived from the classical "duck tail". A new set of 20-inch SportTechno wheels completes the exterior look. The interior gets Luxor beige leather and embossed lettering "911 Club Coupe" as well as the illuminated door entry guards painted in Brewster Green with an inlay made of brushed stainless steel. Under the hood Porsche has placed the same engine as in the Carrera S, but equipped with a newly developed Powerkit upgrade that helps the engine to develop a total of 430 HP (a 30 HP compared to the 911 Carrera S). This extra power helps the car to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. Bad news is that the new Porsche 911 Club Coupe will be limited to only 13 units.

2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S (2011 Frankfurt Auto Show)
NEW PORSCHE 911 CARRERA TO DEBUT AT FRANKFURT SHOW - World premiere of new 911 at 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show, September 13 -25 - New generation of benchmark sports car - Innovative chassis technology raises dynamics - Lighter, more powerful, less fuel consumption, class-leading emissions - Carrera costs from £71,449, Carrera S from £81,242 Porsche is proud to present the new 911 Carrera, a completely new generation of the iconic coupe that has been acclaimed as one of the world's benchmark sports cars since its launch in 1963. Tradition meets modernity True to the 911 tradition, the distinctive Porsche design language exudes power and elegance. The unmistakable silhouette still catches the eye while incorporating new, exciting contours and precisely designed details; a 100mm longer wheelbase for improved stability and greater interior space; front and rear overhangs are shorter, maintaining the compact footprint that has been a longstanding 911 attribute; the sporting stance is emphasised by the lower roof line and a wider front track increases on-road presence further still while raising the renowned chassis dynamics. The rear-mounted, flat six cylinder engine is an equally symbolic component of the 911 identity; and behind the rear axle of the new car lies an uprated range of powerful, efficient and evocative 'boxer' engines. The 911 Carrera is powered by a new 3.4-litre engine developing 350 hp, and the Carrera S features a 400 hp version of the familiar 3.8-litre. These new engines offer performance improvements for both models. The 3.4-litre Carrera with PDK accelerates from 0-62mph in 4.6 sec, 0.1 sec quicker than the prior model. Pressing the Sport Plus button on the optional Sport Chrono Pack cuts that to 4.4 sec. The 3.8-litre Carrera S with PDK can accelerate from 0- 62 mph in 4.3 sec (Sport Plus 4.1 sec), 0.2sec quicker than its predecessor. All-new lightweight body Principle among the innovative steps forwards is the all-new, lightweight body, featuring intelligent aluminium-steel composite construction. It is responsible for a significant proportion of the vehicle weight reduction of up to 45 kg. The body structure also delivers significantly greater rigidity, and aerodynamic optimisation -- including a wider, variably extending rear spoiler -- has reduced the lift generated by the new 911 Carrera while retaining an impressive overall drag factor. Innovative chassis technology That the new 911 offers better acceleration in a straight line goes without saying, but it also offers top performance at an unprecedented level across the entire dynamic repertoire. In addition to the longer wheelbase, the greater agility, precision and driving stability are based, among other things, on the wider front track, a new rear axle and new electro-mechanical power steering. Depending on the model, there are other standard or optional active control systems available as well that further enhance the driving dynamics. That is especially true for the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilisation system, available for the first time on the 911 Carrera S. The system reduces body roll when cornering, with the result that the tyres are always in the optimal position relative to the road surface and thus able to transmit higher lateral forces. Consequently, maximum cornering speeds are increased, and even faster lap times on racing circuits are possible.

2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S 991 - TRAILER
The new all-wheel drive 911 is being launched on the market in four versions -- as the 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4S and each as Coupé and Cabriolet. They sport the same traits as the rear-wheel drive versions: their lightweight body design, suspension, engines and gearboxes are identical, the only exception being modifications related to the all-wheel drive. This means that despite a higher level of engine and driving performance, all four models consume significantly less fuel than the previous models; total savings for individual versions are as much as 16 per cent. In addition, the new 911 Carrera 4 is up to 65 kg lighter in weight. The most distinct identifying feature of the 911 with all-wheel drive is still the wide rear section: compared to the two-wheel drive 911 Carrera models, the rear wheel housings each extend further outward by 22 mm, and the rear tyres are each ten millimetres wider. The traditional red light band that connects the two taillights has also taken on a new form. Porsche Intelligent Performance: high levels of driving performance, low fuel consumption All new models have a 7-speed manual gearbox as standard, and the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox is available as an option. The 911 Carrera 4 Coupé with 350 hp (257 kW) can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in as little as 4.5 seconds (Cabriolet: 4.7 s) and reach a top speed of up to 285 km/h (Cabriolet: 282 km/h), depending on equipment features. Fuel consumption with PDK is 8.6 l/100 km (CO2 203 g/km) for the Coupé and 8.7 l/100 km (CO2 205 g/km) for the Cabriolet. The Coupé and Cabriolet of the 911 Carrera 4 S each have a 3.8-litre rear-mounted boxer engine that produces 400 hp (294 kW); this enables acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds (Cabriolet: 4.3 seconds) and a top speed of 299 km/h (Cabriolet: 296 km/h) with a suitable equipment configuration. Fuel consumption values with PDK are 9.1 l/100 km (CO2 215 g/km) for the Coupé and 9.2 l/100 km (CO2 217 g/km) for the Cabriolet. New: all-wheel drive indicator, Porsche Active Safe, sliding glass sunroof, extended Sport Chrono pack In the new 911 Carrera 4, a new menu in the instrument cluster informs the driver how the PTM all-wheel drive is currently distributing engine power. In addition, with the debut of the 911 Carrera all-wheel drive models Porsche is introducing the optional Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) to the entire model range, which controls distance to traffic ahead and vehicle speed. When ordered with PDK, the ACC system adds the safety function Porsche Active Safe (PAS), which helps to prevent front-end collisions. In addition, Porsche offers a new sliding glass sunroof as an optional feature for the 911 Carrera Coupé. Driving 911 cars with a manual gearbox and Sport Chrono pack can now be even sportier: In Sport Plus mode, the system automatically double-declutches during downshifts. The new all-wheel drive models replace a very successful previous generation, of which a total of about 24,000 units have been sold since 2008. This represents a 34 per cent share of total sales of second generation 997 models. This previous generation launched with one of the greatest development steps in powertrain technology that the 911 with all-wheel drive ever made: new were the engines with direct petrol injection, Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox and electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management (PTM). In July 2011, Porsche crowned the model series with the 911 Carrera 4 GTS, whose 3.8-litre engine was Boosted to 408 hp (300 kW). World premiere at the Paris International Motor Show The new Porsche 911 Carrera with all-wheel drive will make its first public appearance at the 2012 Paris International Motor Show. The new 911 models will launch at the end of 2012. Prices in Germany are 97,557 euros for the 911 Carrera 4 Coupé and 110,290 euros for the Cabriolet. The 911 Carrera 4 S costs 112,313 euros as a Coupé and 125,046 euros as a Cabriolet. All prices include 19 per cent VAT and country-specific features.

Unique Motorsport Super Club Challenge at Shanghai F1 Circuit
New For 28th May 2012. Information Below. Yesterday, the 27th of May 2012, the Shanghai Formula 1 Circuit played host to one of the biggest -- if not the biggest -- supercar gatherings of all time. We've seen these Chinese supercar meetings before at this same circuit. However, now it seems that the rich have gotten just that little bit richer! As you'll see from the photos, the standard Bugatti Veyron has been pushed back to the second row to make way for three Veyron Super Sports! These fantastic pictures come courtesy of Flickr user Yang0302. They show a whole range of cars packing out the Chinese Formula 1 circuit ranging from the humble Nissan GT-R right up to the trackday special Pagani Zonda R. The photographer commented that the only thing missing was an Aston Martin One-77. You'll spot a Koenigsegg Agera, Pagani Zonda, Lexus LFA, Lamborghini Aventador and two Ferrari Enzo's among the cars. Interestingly, you'll also spot a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, the same model displayed at the Beijing Auto Show recently. Carrera GT's, Ferrari 599 GTO's and plenty of Ferrari 458 Italia's were on display. We think that plenty of the cars were from the FFF garage we featured at the start of the year. It is a really stunning sight! Unique Motorsport hold trackdays every month we are told as part of a social calender for supercar owners. Members of the Club get access to knowledge and experience of other members. The idea is that supercar owners learn in a safe environment how to handle their cars. The photoshoot and parade lap you see here was just a small part of the day.
