Nissan Xterra Near Rollover - Offroad Cow Mountain Ukiah
Four wheeling at S. Cow Mountain OHV BLM near Ukiah, CA.
Can you say pucker factor!
Now taking applications for a Spotter.
Who said the Xterra is top heavy?
In response to the critics, yes this was before the suspension was moded.
This was a trail I have taken many times, the terrain is kind of a packed
sand and like snow it can be difficult to see terrain features. I missed my
line and got sucked into the deep rut I was trying to cut across. The water
ripple effect @ 0:50 is where I parked and got out to access the situation.
TOYOTA TACOMA STUCK ON BEACH
This driver made the mistake of driving n to close to one of our outflows
. When you see a large stream of water on our Peninsula it is the the
rain runoff from ditches and lakes . What happens is when the tide goes
out the water will gouge out a trough in the loose sand . When the tide
comes in it will fill the edges of the trough with loose sand . While
it will look hard it is fact mostly water . It has the conistancy of
quicksand . If you walk into it you will sink maybe 8 to 10 inches . A
car or truck will sink to its frame . This occurs all along our beach
. I advise people to not cross these streams at high water and at low
water you want to go as far west as you can to cross over . This truck
was in quicksand like material 2 hours before he called me . After the
tide went out the water drained out of the sand and it was rock hard
around his truck .
HUMMERS GO MUDDING
Footage from a 2003 Hummer Happening held at the Washougal MotoCross Track
in Washington. LOTS of rain and plenty of slick mud make for a great time.
Jeep Rubicon and Toyota FJ Cruiser Off-Road in Hawaii
We witnessed first hand the capabilities of both vehicles on the trails.
I'm personally a Toyota guy, having owned several Toyota 4x4s, an FJ and
now a Tacoma. They aren't evenly matched because the Jeeps articulation and
flexibility with the solid front axle, shorter wheel base and being lighter
weight. Driver experience, error and patience were also contributing
factors in how each vehicle performed.
We didn't create this video to make one seam better than the other. Ohana
Trails is a Jeep Club here that we were filming and by chance, a group of
FJ Cruiser owners were convoying with them. Unfortunately, we had more
video of the Jeeps over the FJ's.
All in all it was an epic day up in the mountains at Peacock Flats on Oahu
looking over the North Pacific.

Jay's Tacoma Offroad Carnage
Over the rocky hill , and thru the creek, to a broken axle shaft I go. Got
it fixed quickly and hit the trails again.
