( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The new second generation of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL will be at your local dealership in the fall of this year. For 2013 Mercedes-Benz has completely revamped the model line including the V8 Mercedes-Benz GL 450, 550 and the diesel BlueTec 350. We recently had a chance to drive all three version of the GL in New Mexico both on and off-road and came away impressed by the list of luxury and safety items that are now both standard and available on the biggest 7 passenger luxury SUV in the Mercedes Benz lineup of new cars. Check out this first drive reviews we pul all three to the test.
2013 Honda Crosstour vs Fiat 500 Turbo 0-60 MPH Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The new 2013 Honda Crosstour with the V6 is a AWD
crossover that directly competes with cars like the Toyota Venza. The 2013
Fiat 500 turbo is a tiny
front-wheel-drive Italian hatchback that slots right in between the Fiat
500 and the very sporty Fiat 500 Abarth. It potentially competes with other
tiny cars like the Mazda2 and the Ford Fiesta. In no way, shape, or form
does the Fiat 500 turbo compete with the
Honda Crosstour....so that's why we decided to Mashup these two very
different cars in another fun and exclusive TFLcar Mile High 0-60 MPH
Mashup review. Which one of these cars is faster to 60 MPH? Watch the video to find
2013 Mercedes-Benz GL350 vs Lexus GX460 Off-Road Mountain Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL350 Bluetec and the 2013
Lexus GX460 are both luxurious 7 seater family haulers that can certainly
go off-road. However that where the similarities end. Under the hood of the
Mercedes is a V-6 turbocharged diesel
engine while under the hood of the Lexus is a more traditional gasoline
powered V-8. Of course we wanted to know not just how well the brand new
2013 Mercedes GL compares to the Lexus when it comes to ride and handling
but perhaps more importantly how the Mercedes compares of-road when the
going very muddy. You see the Lexus is based on one of Toyota's most off
road worthy vehicles...the Land Cruiser. So how did the big Merc do? Check
out this off-road Mountain Mash-up Review to find out.
2013 Range Rover On and Off-Road 0-60 MPH First Drive Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The brand new 2013 Range Rover is 700 pounds
lighter than the out-going model. In a world where cars get heavier that's
very unusual and that's because Range Rover used lots of aluminum in the
construction premium British SUV. The 4th generation of the iconic off-road
vehicle is also more posh, more dirty worthy and of course more expensive.
In this exclusive TFLcar first drive review we test the new 2013 Range
Rover both on and off-road to see how it drives near the Grand Canyon in
Utah and Arizona. We also test the Range Rover Performance from 0-60 MPH,
and we get the SUV muddy and vertical on some very challenging off-road
2012 Range Rover Sport vs Evoque Colorado snow-worthy Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Range Rover Sport and RR Evoque are some
of the most off-road worthy cars you can buy. But which one is better in
the snow? Or to be even more specific, which one is better in three feet of
newly fallen Colorado powder. We decided to find out in this snow-worthy
review by driving both Range Rovers to Gold Hill, Colorado up Lick Skillet
Road. Lick Skillet Road is one of the steepest country roads in America,
and when it snows three feet the road not only gets slick but also very
slippery. So which one of these two British cars is the best in the snow.
The old establish Range Rover or the up stark newbie Evoque. Check out this
video review to find out.
2012 Land Rover LR4 vs Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Land Rover LR4 and the 2012 Jeep Grand
Cherokee are two of the most off-road worthy family haulers that you can
buy. Both can be had with a massive V8 engine and both come with
all-wheel-drive to take on the wild Colorado West when the road turns
dusty. Both also have the pedigree to call themselves the very best
off-road rides that you can buy today. In this TFLcar mash-up review we see
which one of these two legendary off-road rides is better in the Colorado
Rockies. Is it the 375 horsepower Land Rover LR4 or
is it the HEMI powered 360 HP Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Mercedes-Benz GL represents the second generation complete with a redesign
that features tons of updates. The 2013 GL450 is larger, pack with tons of
technology, and more refined. On the outside the Mercedes GL is very
elegant and refined. This large SUV abounds in chrome and stainless steel
parts. On the inside the GL is chalked full of luxurious materials with the
ability to seat up to 7 passengers. Although the GL is larger, it weighs
less and gets much better fuel economy than the previous generation. There
are 3 different trims including the GL350 BlueTEC, GL4450, and GL550.
Prices range from $62,400 up to $86,900 but you can top out at over $100k
by adding on various packages and options.
There are 3 different engines that power the GL Class. One engine is a
BlueTEC diesel found on the GL350 while the other 2 engine choices are V-8
motors. The 2013 Mercedes GL450 is powered by a 4.6 liter V-8 that makes
362 horsepower and
406 lb-ft. of torque. This engine, paired with a 7-speed automatic,
averages 14 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway. Keep in mind the GL
is a full size 7 passenger luxury SUV weighing over 5400 lbs.
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL Class looks like a strong muscular SUV thanks to
the large dimensions, stainless steel skid plates, and distinctive design.
The Xenon headlights match perfectly to the LED daytime running lights
which are a must for any luxury vehicle. The drive system features Mercedes
4MATIC all-wheel drive to help keep the GL on the road.
On the inside the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450 can seat up to 7 adults while
bathing them in high end luxury and comfort. Cargo room is plentiful at 83
cubic feet of space. The materials are top of the line. The front seats are
power operated with the capability to heat. There are 2 sunroofs to keep
both the second row and third row passengers happy. There are a few
optional packages and many different options that can be added. Mercedes is
on the forefront of technology and many innovations can be found on the
2013 Mercedes-Benz GL450.
