Greg's 9 second 74 Duster
This car has been a long time coming for Greg. The engine, an SDCE built
383cid has an SDCE sheetmetal intake and runs on SDS EFI. Boost comes from the SDCE 12 rib D series
intercooled ProCharger system. Built back in 2002 making 801 flywheel HP on
our engine Dyno at
6200RPM's and about 12.5 PSI of Boost, Greg hasn't touched the program at all
since it left our shop back in 2002!
The tranny is a GM 4L80E with a transbrake.
SLANT 6 Mopar or No Car!
Mopars and very attractive women.....Mopars Kicking ASS! What more can you
If you like what you hear, come and visit me at CDBaby!
In case anyone is curious, yes, I've owned tons of Mopar products! There
is a SRT4 in my driveway right now. I've had Coronet R/T's, Challenger RT,
Demon's, 300's, SRT8's, I love em all! And I have no problem with other
cool Musclecars. I even own a Buick with a V6 that is fairly
quick......However....I loves me Mother Mopar!
I'm back in the old school! I have a "NEW" 70 Coronet R/T! Burnt
Orange/White interior numbers matching, bla bla bla bla!!! Will post pics
of it in my new Mopar song. Yeah, I'm doing another one, yeah I'm corny!
Actually 2 tunes. One, I penned back in the mid 80's called Red Light. It
was about my 69 R/T.
71 Charger vs Firebird
71 Charger with a 318, vs a 400 Firebird.
The 318 engine has 340 cam, 4 barrel, .030 over bore with 50,000 miles on
it, late model 318 iron heads, headers and FlowMaster mufflers and dual
2-1/2" Exhaust, all body panels are
steel. According to speed calculations the 318 is putting out about 310 to
320 hp, luckily the stock light duty rods and cast crank have handled this!
Cleaning Catalytic Converters With Soap and Water -EricTheCarGuy
This is my second attempt to clean a catalytic converter, this time with
soap and water. I've heard this method can work so I thought I would give
it a try. One that that's important with these techniques is to do the
procedure properly. On both my first attempt with this one and my last
attempt with lacquer thinner, I didn't do the procedure properly and as a
result I was not successful. I speak to those points in the video. So, if
you have a catalytic converter code and it's not all broken up inside, you
might consider trying this technique. You really don't have anything to
loose if you do.
