71 Charger vs Firebird
71 Charger with a 318, vs a 400 Firebird.
The 318 engine has 340 cam, 4 barrel, .030 over bore with 50,000 miles on
it, late model 318 iron heads, headers and FlowMaster mufflers and dual
2-1/2" Exhaust, all body panels are
steel. According to speed calculations the 318 is putting out about 310 to
320 hp, luckily the stock light duty rods and cast crank have handled this!
Plymouth Duster 340 and Dodge Demon 340
My 1974 Plymouth Duster 340 and Gene's 1972 Dodge Demon 340 having a little
fun! We decided to take the cars out and not go all out on them but have a
little fun, LOL!
Duster Burnout and Drag Race
440 Duster drag racing - he does a solid burnout, smokes the tires, then
finishes a mid-11's run in the 1/4 mile. This car is a big block mopar, and
you can tell it. This car has a huge thumpr cam, barely idles, and sounds
MEAN! This car has some sick M/T slicks out back, and is a monster!
Greg's 9 second 74 Duster
This car has been a long time coming for Greg. The engine, an SDCE built
383cid has an SDCE sheetmetal intake and runs on SDS EFI. Boost comes from the SDCE 12 rib D series
intercooled ProCharger system. Built back in 2002 making 801 flywheel HP on
our engine Dyno at
6200RPM's and about 12.5 PSI of Boost, Greg hasn't touched the program at all
since it left our shop back in 2002!
The tranny is a GM 4L80E with a transbrake.
