sleeper vw bug
I took a 60 vw bug that was sitting for 25 years, rebuilt a motor for it,
and took it to the track. Didnt even wash it! to Prove whats on the outside
isnt what counts. Its what we DONT see that does. Motor is all VW with
stock block clearenced for stroker crank, stock crank is welded stroker,
has 92mm pistons to equal 2180, vw heads ported, and dual IDF webber
carbs. mild 125 engle cam. I know its not a super fast car like most other
videos on here, but for what it is, a stock bug with skinny 165 metric
tires, and a stock vw motor with very old hot rod technology, it does
pretty good. The way it is I a ran a 13.41@100mph on the stock tires. I
have since pulled the motor and building 2235 with Mofoco 050 Made in USA
heads, FK45, 48idf's, Pouter 1:4's

Working On and Playing With The '93 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Station Wagon
For those few in the crowd who didn't know or were possibly doubting me...I
went and did something that was, shall we say, a bit "capricious". I just
love my new old Road Sofa. It's one of a little over 10,600 Caprice-branded
station wagon body models made in 1993. This one was assembled at GM's
Willow Run plant in early 1993 (probably not too long before it closed).
My brother and I changed the oil and greased parts of the undercarriage
this time around. Next up is the air filter, as the currently installed one
is filthy. For an Illinois car that's nearly 20 years old, the condition is
not bad. Front brakes, Exhaust work
and new shock absorbers are next.
I find the car more than fast enough for my needs (not having anything to
do with OptiSpark is also a *real* plus!), yet the Grand Marquis is likely
faster because it's lighter, has
an engine that develops more power and has a newer fuel injection system on
it. (It does appear that the L05 develops more torque than the 4.6L Modular
V8. Where this happens for each engine is not known.) I also didn't feel
the need to flog the poor old engine in this car senseless in an effort to
outrun the Keykeeper.
rating for the L05 engine was not carefully verified, so if it's wrong,
it's wrong. Oh well.
1994 Chevrolet Caprice Classic LS Start Up, Engine, In Depth Tour, and Test Drive

Classic LS. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and
exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and
noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine
and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under
acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a
greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
