Custom 1972 Pontiac Firebird - V8 sound!
Jamboolio records a fully restored 1972 Pontiac Firebird with an 350 cid
5.7L V8 engine and a stunning new paint job.
The monstrous hood scoops and huge air vents added to the all black

Brian's Pro Street 1969 Firebird
A quick walk around plus a few other clips about a 1969 Pontiac Firebird
brought up to Canada a few years back. The car is from Louisiana, built to
its present state by the owner down in that state. It takes a lot of
concentration and constant attention to drive this car as it is quite
powerful, and the tires are not conductive to the most straight of
traction. The rear tires,especially, being wide and very soft in rubber
texture, and having very 'wrinkly' sidewalls, can make for a vehicle which
feels very twitchy on the road. So much to the fact hitting the
accelerator at the wrong time could very easily put the car sideways. Even
when you are going in a straight line. Driving with prudence is so
important. The paint was anything but shiny as you see in the clip when
the car was first brought home. It needed a lot of wet sanding and
polishing to come out looking as it does now. The engine is a very much
modified Pontiac 400- cubic inch V-8 hooked up to a fully manual turbo 350 with a 'reverse type' valve body. This
means there is no automatic shifting feature in the unit. and '1' is right
after neutral, then '2nd ' is the next notch back, and finally '3rd'. This
is done for drag racing purposes to ensure you do not run the chance of
grabbing neutral in a race. Stock automatics run the shift lever the
opposite way after neutral. This Pro-Street designed car has all the nice
stuff in it including a roll cage ( the side bars beside the passenger and
driver are removed for street driving), a fuel tank in the trunk, and
4-wheel disc brakes. The rear axle assembly is some reinforced and built-
up unit with a cast aluminum cover sporting a center section girdle to help
keep the rear end in one piece.

75 Pontiac Astre wagon same as Vega, full tube chassis, 305 V8 set back
about 16 inches with Crane .488 lift cam, Offy intake, Holley carb, Hooker
headers, Mallory Uni Lite electronic ignition and distributor, turbo 350 with full manual forward valve body and
B&M clutch pack, chevy 12 bolt rear with 3:73 posi.
