132225 / 1969 Dodge Dart 440
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/cvxyth4 One of my favorite automotive quotes of all time comes from Colin Chapman, the guy who founded Lotus, who said, "To add speed, add lightness." Enter this killer 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger. Starting with a lightweight compact, the "add lightness" part was already handled. Then you stuff a giant 440 cubic inch V8 making 500+ horsepower under the hood, and give it all the equipment it will need to launch straight and safe down the drag strip. The result is an incredibly fast car that's also incredibly reliable, without a lot of over-stressed components that will leave you worrying about breakage every time you crack the throttle. With an extensive list of top-shelf parts and high quality craftsmanship, this is a no-compromises car that is as beautiful as it is fast.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat: 707 Horsepower? Hell Yeah! – Ignition Ep. 116
On this episode of Ignition, presented by Universal Technical Institute, Carlos Lago drives the most powerful production muscle car on the market: The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. While it isn’t the most powerful production V-8 in the world (which loses to the $1 million McLaren P1 by 20 hp before electric motors), the Hellcat’s 707 hp rating seems too incredible to believe -- especially when you consider the cost. The question is whether this Challenger has any brain to go along with its extreme brawn. Through a trip to the Dyno, the test track, the road, and a standing mile, we find out. Ignition appears every other Monday on the Motor Trend youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend Subscribe now to make sure you're in on all the action! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsAegdhiYLEoaFGuJFVrqFQ?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook - http://facebook.com/motortrendmag & https://www.facebook.com/mt.ignition Twitter - http://twitter.com/motortrend & https://twitter.com/mt_ignition Google+ - https://plus.google.com/+motortrend/posts Instagram - @mt_ignition Website - http://www.motortrend.com

I even own a Buick with a V6 that is fairly quick......However....I loves me Mother Mopar! I'm back in the old school! I have a "NEW" 70 Coronet R/T! Burnt Orange/White interior numbers matching, bla bla bla bla!!! Will post pics of it in my new Mopar song. Yeah, I'm doing another one, yeah I'm corny! Actually 2 tunes. One, I penned back in the mid 80's called Red Light. It was about my 69 R/T.

1973 Dodge Dart Swinger
Alright, now before a bunch of people start flipping out at me for abusing this dart, realize its NOT your car. I won this car on ebay in 2005 for 230 bucks. And We had some fun with it, put a small dent in the door, the ball joint went, then i sold it for 230 bucks to some dude who's gonna put a ball joint in it, fix the rust, and possibly throw a 440 in the beast. This dart is a stock 318 with a 904 behind it. Its nothing special, and really rusted out. Especially the floor pans. I'm really not that big of a fan of the body style, especially compared to the 63-66 body styles. I really like the 64 and 65 darts. I sold my 64 dart in 2010, and still have my 65 dart gt convertible 225 manual on the column. I got lucky and won this car on ebay, and pretty much just bought it to use in the most fun ways possible. We are NOT the kind of people who buy cars to restore, to have these immaculate, shiny show pieces, that we hardly ever drive, that we only take out so people will look at them and think, wow, that dude has a nice car. We don't buy things so that other people think cool things about us. we liked the car, and used it the way we like. And it did not destroy the car. A few burn outs, locking up the brakes, a little water, and some wobbly driving can't hurt a car. Thats one of the points of this whole video, and something i think alot of people really need to learn. This was a tough puppy. :)

69 Dodge Dart 440 exhaust
Quick video backing my Dart out of the garage. Sorry for bad quality, I used my digital camera. Car has a mild 440. Exhaust is a TTI with 40 series and X-pipe.

Preston Herrick's "Blown" 440 Duster - Initial fire-up
Highlights from initial fire-up. Assembled another '70 440 shortblock with lower compression (8.5:1) Speed Pro forged pistons. Topped off with 6-71 Supercharger and dual 750 Edelbrocks. Waiting for electric pusher fan to arrive - no space for anything between radiator and blower drive. Can already tell this will be a different beast from the NA 440 it replaces.
