The 2011 5.0L Mustang Supercharging Systems from Vortech...
The new 2011 Mustang GT brings back a heritage that many of us muscle car guys grew up with known as the "Five Point Oh". From the street to the race track, the 5 liter Ford engine has been an icon for decades. In fact, much of the reputation Vortech has built up over the years is directly as a result of the power and reliability that our customers have enjoyed from our early model 5.0L systems. This legendary platform has been the springboard for most of our Supercharger breakthroughs. From the inaugural V-1 A-Trim, to the first quiet operating V-2 SQ, to the (still) unmatched and untouchable V-7 YSi-Trim, and even to the self-lubricated V-3 Si-Trims of today, the Vortech Supercharger has always been the best choice for Mustang enthusiasts all over the world. It is for that reason, even though some companies may feel comfortable repackaging the same old 4.6L kit from 2005, Vortech does not. This new 5.0L Vortech system is specifically engineered around the completely redesigned engine in the 2011 GT. Utilizing the V-3 Supercharger, horsepower gains per psi will eclipse competitor's models due to pure, unadulterated efficiency. That's 78% adiabatic efficiency for you tech-heads out there, which we would compare to the other guys' efficiency numbers if they even had the equipment to test for it...but they don't. The included air-to-air charge cooler is significantly larger than other offerings, translating into more effective charge cooling right out of the box, and substantially higher horsepower support on modified vehicles. The mounting location of this larger Intercooler is far superior as well, placing it directly at the lower bumper opening where it can be most effective, instead of behind the bumper where it will get little to no airflow across it. The air inlet ducting, a stylishly well designed roto-molded piece draws air from the stock airbox, instead of directly over the hottest point in the engine compartment. This benefit will not only all but guarantee 50 state emissions legality for this system, but will also allow for larger MAF and CAI selection down the road. You'd better mark this system down on your modification "To Do" list now, before you're the last one without one!

We just got finished installing the new Ford Racing/Whipple 624hp Supercharger kit for our grabber blue 2011 5.0L Mustang GT. The work was performed at Power By the Hour Performance in Boynton Beach FL by Jake, Jesse, Takeshi and John. The fit and finish of the kit is everything you'd expect from FRPP and Whipple. The kit came complete with everything including the Intercooler, Intercooler pump, 47lb injectors, lower manifold, Supercharger, GT500 throttle body and a custom calibration from the tuning experts at Ford Racing. The first step in installation is to remove the original intake manifold, JLT cold air kit, and fuel rails, following Bill's tips and instructions. Then, prep the new Boss 302 intake and secure it in your engine bay. Make sure to torque the screws on the intake in the proper sequence demonstrated in the video! Reconnect everything, extend the wiring harness for the purge valve, and replace the covers. Lastly, Bill installs the new strut tower brace and our installation is complete, taking between 3-4 hours. My Supercharged Civic Si vs 2012 Mustang 5.0
Mustang driver messed up which worked to my advantage. They get off the line so good though. Gotta get grip in my 1st/2nd to be able to take them regularly. Tires/Wheels are coming soon hopefully... Also, at beginning of the video the dude on the motor cycle first stalled out... then got mad and rev'd it up and dumped it. He almost lost full control of the bike it slid out from underneath him a little but he saved it (good thing!) and took off down the track. My mirror covers most of it unfortunately. In car video of 2011 Mustang GT with Procharger HO kit. The car made 551 rwhp and 450 rwtq (STD) on a Dynojet with 7.5 pounds of Boost. The tune is a 93 octane tune with 14 degrees of timing by Jon Lund. The car is on the stock Brembo brake package 19" wheels and tires. The car is a 6 speed manual with 3.73 gears. The car has a Lethal Performance 3" O/R X-pipe and Flowmaster 'Hushpower' axleback on it. This video was made in Mexico.

If you are unfamiliar with this event, this is a top speed run. You see what your top speed is at the end of a standing mile run. Needless to say our 2013 Mustang GT known as Project High Impact did well. It ran two 174 mph times with the best being 174.6 mph. In the video you will see the headers heat up bright red, what your tires do at 170+ mph and you will see the rear antenna do its best to stay on the Mustang. It wasn't a world record 263.3 MPH like the Hennessy Ford GT but it was still pretty impressive in our eyes!
