.ITS AN SRT FOR SURE..talked to a couple of dodge/chrysler guys this past weekend..and there were a couple of them in the southern cali area this past weekend.... there was an SRT emblem on the front..just not shown in the video..but a friend of mine caught the same car and caught a pic of the front with the SRT ...........it IS an SRT8..

2012 Dodge Charger SRT8
The new product onslaught continues for the Dodge brand with the announcement at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show that the Dodge Charger SRT8 will return for the 2012 model year.
"We're continuing the fast-paced rebuilding of Dodge as our performance brand, and the expansion of our SRT product lineup in 2012 is an important part of our rejuvenation," said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO, Dodge Brand — Chrysler Group LLCs. "The new 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 builds on the iconic four-door fastback coupe design of the all-new Charger and adds a much larger power band across the rpm range, along with intelligent performance attributes and safety and creature comforts for customers who are passionate about performance driving."
The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 will be built at the Brampton Assembly plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada and will be in dealer showrooms in late 2011.

Charger vs. Challenger Burnout, both 2012 SRT8 392
After some time on the track, the only thing these tires were good for is what you are looking at. This was at a launch of 2012 SRT8 lineup at Willow Springs. Charger is auto and Challenger is 6 speed manual.
Sorry it's shaky at times, but it was windy as hell every day at the desert.

New for the 2012 Charger SRT8 is the 470 horsepower 6.4-litre HEMI® V8 that features 45 more horsepower and 50 more lb.-ft. of torque across a significantly wider rpm range, new Exhaust system technology for improved fuel efficiency, along with new paddle shift technology and adaptive damping suspension for optimal driver control.
Performance numbers for the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 include 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) acceleration in the high 4-second range; quarter mile in the high 12-second range; 0-160-0 km/h (0-100-0 mph) in less than 16 seconds; top speed of 282 km/h (175 mph) and stopping power from 96-0 km/h (60-0 mph) in 37metres (120 feet).

Under the hood, the new 6.4- litre HEMI® V8 delivers more horsepower and torque than the 6.1-litre HEMI V8 it replaces -- up 11 per cent to 470 horsepower (351 kW) and up 12 per cent to 470 (637 N•m) lb.-ft. of torque.

Jeep brought the new 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 and Jeep's Chris Ellis talks about the performance styling and comfort of their newest addition to the Jeep line. The SRT8 will be introduced this summer (2011) and will sports performance features like a 6.4 Hemi V8 engine with 465 HP under the hood. Even with all the power and performance the Hemi offers the Fuel Save Technology which gives you more economy than you would expect from this level of performance. EPA ratings are not out yet for this model but we look forward to numbers that will please the guy or gal that needs a big vehicle with get-up-and-go.
