T1 Race Development | Import Face-Off Noble, OK: September 9, 2012
On September 9, 2012 T1 Race Development took a trip to Noble, Oklahoma for the Import Face-Off event held at Thunder Valley Raceway. Off the trailer, the T1 Integra (piloted by Tony Palo) qualified #1 and ran a personal-best e.t. and mph with an 8.320 @ 189.11, with a 1.53 sixty-foot on M&H slicks. Unfortunately, in the first round of eliminations (on a bye-run), the motor ran lean, lifted the head, pressurized the cooling system, and burned the tops of 2 pistons...ending our race-day. As they say..."That's racing." We still had a great time, and would like to say BIG THANKS to our crew chief: Michael Morris & T1 Technician: Matt Owen, as well as our friends, family, and fans for all of your support. Looking forward to the next race! CLM Motorsports Ricky Silva 8 Second Honda Civic Weekend Rewind: ATP/Garrett GTX Turbo
Capitol Raceway FWD Battle 9/15/12 and Maryland International Raceway iREV 9/16/12 Wow what a weekend still a little in awe about it. I cant say enough good about the people helping us. So right before this race we swapped over to a Garrett GTX turbo that George over at ATP turbo was nice enough to supply us with, with the help of our friend Paul over at Boost Factory. We didnt get any testing or Dyno time with it and just went right to capital for the shootout race. Ran a 9.4 off the trailer in qualifying but lost first round to Blue Ridge motorsports. Car got out of shape bad and i had to get out of it. Sunday morning we get to MIR and Cunha madea few changes off the limited data we got from the day before. First hit 8.870@173 qualified #1 we drew a good side of the ladder and got a few bye runs. Ended making another run in the semi finals and went a 8.87@174.6 which put us in the finals Vs Jake Gavio driving Marc P's 67mm turbo car. Some how i managed to red light and gave it away to Jake still ran another 8.87@174.6. Not the story book ending i hoped for but cant complain 3 solid 8 second passes is more then plenty for me. Cant thank George at ATP and Paul at Boost Factory enough for this killer turbo this thing works and is bad ass. Cant wait to see what this bad boy does when we switch to e85 for the final 2 events. I have to thank a lot of people for helping us run the numbers we are and have such a consistent car without them this wouldnt be possible.
